As the summer festival season approaches, new music continues to be unveiled by artists including a slew of new remixes. This week’s Wobble Wednesday is full of new remixes and new remix EP announcements!
Throughout the years, Zed’s Dead has built up an incredible following and has always found a way to remain relevant within the music scene. Morphing their trademark dubstep sound into a more radio/Beatport friendly sound, the duo has released their first single off their “Somewhere Else” Remix EP.
On “Collapse 2.0,” they’ve given the original song a little more bounce to it giving a future house/upbeat feel.
Some people say that this is a far call from the Zed’s Dead of the past, while other’s thoroughly enjoy this revamped version of “Collapse.” Listen below and decide yourself! Pre-Order’s for the EP are already available via iTunes.
Keeping to the theme of Remix EP’s coming out – RL Grime announced that his “VOID Remixes” will be releasing on May 12 which will include remixes of various VOID songs by artists such as Salva, Mura Masa, DJ Sliink, and more.
Wuki’s remix of Kingpin is the first song to be unveiled off this remix pack. Wuki’s version is bass-heavy, catchy, and is a huge sound – very festival ready.
You can purchase this remix as well as the 9 other remixes when the “VOID Remixes” EP drops May 12th.
Third and final track for this week’s Wobble Wednesday (Remix Edition) comes from Boombox Cartel. The duo took a stab at NGHTMRE & Slander’s “Warning” and the result is phenomenal.
Incorporating a cinematic intro, it sets the tone for the heavy drop as well as the rest of the song. Some people are even saying it’s better than the original!
