‘Twas The Night Before Movement
There are many things to account for in preparation to Movement. Items such as sunscreen, sunglasses, comfortable wear, shoes that won’t leave your feet aching for weeks after, but above any and all items; an open mindset. Take this day before Movement to clear your head of anything you expect to get into, any artist you plan to see, any strict schedule you are going by, and make sure to experience the festival as a whole. Years back I tried so hard to stick to a schedule, stay with my friends, rather than roam the festival and indulge in new experiences, as well as artists. Taking that step away from my friends, more and more each year, became the greatest set of decisions I have made to this day. So while I recommend protecting your skin, having enough money, securing personal belongings, staying hydrated, maintaining contact with your friends, I also highly suggest just going with the flow of the festival, and seeking new experiences, as well as artists. Its impossible to tell what one might stumble upon! Cheers to another safe and successful Memorial Day weekend in Detroit!
