One of my favorite labels nowadays is Jaymo & Andy George’s Black Moda. So when I see a new Black Moda release, I get chills before I even have a chance to listen to it and Odysseus does not disappoint with his newest works. Rhythmic and sensual are Odysseus’s game; gotta love this guy’s style. Unfortunately this is just a preview, but we will keep you all posted with a link once this jem hits stores.

Steve Angello has definitely kept busy since the break up of the Swedish House Mafia and it seems that he has really amplified the focus on his label, Size Records, which just celebrated it’s tenth anniversary and 100 releases. For this record Sebjak and Marcus Schossow give us a groove driven, horn heavy house track. This track isn’t a huge hands in the air big room track, but it definitely has some punch behind it with beat driven tech vibes. Enjoy!

Realboy, the robotic funk master, has come to us with his most recent release, fresh off the press of Temple Music Group. Austen Jacobsen electrifies our ears with a work worthy of being swooned over, titled Cable Basics —— a multi-genred four track EP. Although this is his first official release, it is quite promising; Cable Basics features some of Realboy’s most unique sounding tunes to date. Half of the songs, one of which includes live instrumentation and vocals, were recorded in merely a couple of days, giving a sample of Realboy’s polished finesse. Panda Bear aka Noah Benjamin Lennox the founder of Animal Collective talks about his experience with collaborating with Daft Punk on their newest album Random Access Memories which will be released on May 21st. The 34 year old experimental musician has changed the musical landscape with Animal Collective and he continues to push the boundaries with his collaboration with Daft Punk on their new album. They first became acquainted when Panda Bear reached out to the robots a couple years earlier inquiring if they could do a remix of one of their songs to which they curtly replied, “We don’t do that stuff anymore.” A little while after that Panda Bear reached out to them again after doing some solo work to see if they could remix one of his own songs to which they once again said, “We don’t do that stuff anymore… But maybe we could work on something together.” Then a year and a half later Daft Punk reached out to Panda Bear inviting him to Paris to collaborate on something with them. We’ll keep you updated with more on the Panda Punk collaboration as the album release date nears, but until then check out this short documentary to get even more hyped for the impending album drop. Random Access Memories seems like it’s going to be more life changing with each and every collaborator video released.
The prodigious Julian Jordan is at it again with yet another massive electro house smasher coming out on May 18th. Though a month may seem like a long time away, this track is well worth it. Just take a look at the teaser video showcasing Jordan at his more recent live performances. His talents are growing with age and there seems to be no stopping his meteoric rise to fame if “Ramcar” and his other high-quality productions have anything to say about it. Take a peak at the video above and prepare to hear much more of Julian Jordan this summer.

On April 23, Fiasko Daniels’ The EP will make quite the impact on both dance floors of electro house sets around the globe and hopefully the respected charts of Beatport. Releasing to none other than Techibeats Records, we’re really excited to see how all three tracks blossom into their full potential. The Daft Punk news has been rolling out faster than ever lately. With the rest of the collaborators announced, more SNL commercials, an interview with Rolling Stone and the latest episode in the Collaborators series out today. This episode features Pharrell Williams who features on two tracks, ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Lose Yourself To Dance’, speaks about his experience working with the robotic duo on the album and some of his feelings regarding their music. Random Access Memories will be released on May 21st.
Pretty Lights is kicking off his new album with a massive amount of momentum – not only does the first single “Around The Block” sound fantastic with its flawless production, crunchy beats, and soulful samples, but bringing in the hip hop legend Talib Kweli to lay some rhymes down just elevates this track to the next level. Throw a mesmerizing trip of a music video on top of all that, and you can see why we’re so excited for the new album. After premiering the video at Coachella two days ago the duo aired the trailer of the upcoming single ‘Get Lucky’ with Pharrell and Nile Rogers on SNL. The four are adorned in shiny, sequined attire as Nile plays the guitar, Pharrell on the mic and the robotic duo on the bass and drums. Their upcoming album, Random Access Memories will be released on May 21st.
