Markus Schulz – Progressive Warmup Mix Spring 2013

markus-schulz

Does the legendary Markus Schulz ever disappoint? Absolutely not. What better way to mellow out after a long weekend than kick back and listen to this melodic mix consisting of some of the “deeper and more progressive tracks” that Schulz has recently been digging. After recording this in between his appearances at Miami’s Winter Music Conference and ASOT 600 at Madison Square Garden, this mix continues to illustrate the diversity of true musicians. Though showing sincere differences from any of his live performances, it’s great to see big artists such as Markus Schulz protruding to deeper routes. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Coachella 2013: 15 Electronic acts you can’t miss and why

Coachella

The final countdown has begun and nothing makes us more antsy than knowing only a few more days of school work stand between us and our unofficial “holiday weekend.”  Last week, the city of Indio granted approval for Goldenvoice to extend their annual music festivals on the polo fields through 2030 and also expand to hold 15,000 more attendees by next year. As loyal Coachella fans rejoice over the news, we couldn’t be more excited to return to the holy land. By now we’re checking off what to pack and who to see, aside from mentally preparing for the heat waves that await us, BUT before we hit the road…we leave you with one more cheat sheet to festival success!

I woke up in Miami knowing today may be the longest/craziest day of my entire life. At the same time I was more excited than a little kid on Christmas morning to get the day going. At 11am I grabbed a cab to head over to Nikki Beach for Robbie Rivera’s legendary Juicy Beach event. As I arrived to the scene, Faux Entertainment was very kind enough to hook me up with a staff pass to the event. [Read more...]

Here’s a new preview of Spencer & Hill’s most recent track “Smackdown,” which is their official Winter Music Conference release off Spinnin’ Records. The preview consists of only one build up and drop, but even so, the unique but mainstream vibe will be the talk of Miami. Again we are hearing a bit of electro mixed with dutch house, only leading to a hard hitting track. Check out the stream below and be sure to check out the track March 22nd at Beatport! Enjoy!

Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding – Need Your Love (Nicky Romero Remix) [Preview]

Nicky+Romero

Nicky Romero has just given the world a fresh remix he’s done of Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding’s “Need Your Love.” The best part about March may be March Madness for some, but for music lovers of EDM it’s the approach of the annual Winter Music Conference and Ultra solely because of all the tracks that are released in the process before. Romero has taken the same idea from the original track, using the main synth arpeggio approach, but has made it bigger and more of an anthem song. The release will be off Columbia Records, but stay tuned for a date. Enjoy!
