Review: Excision Executioner Tour – San Jose, CA

Last Friday, Excision’s Executioner tour roared into the San Jose Civic Center for a show that was truly out of this world. Vital SC & Midnite Events hosted the sold out show, and added even more firepower to the tours already heavy lineup with two local big names; Getter and Minnesota. This boosted the total artist roster up from 3 to 5; Getter, Minnesota, Vaski, Paper Diamond, & of course, Excision. If you are even a moderate fan of Dubstep, you know this shows lineup is huge. I knew that whatever was going to happen tonight, it would be something we would never forget. And with tickets sold out two weeks in advance, I definitely wasn’t the only one who thought so.

Wobble Wednesday: Vaski ft. Caligola – Rising (Original Mix)

Minneapolis, Minnesota native, Vaski has been pumping out quality dubstep tunes for over three years and recently performed at our LA event, Shakedown Vol. 5. His latest release, “Rising”, may just be his best track to date and is currently sitting at #5 on the Beatport dubstep charts. “Rising” features the catchy male vocals of Caligola and contains a very melodic intro which builds up into a bass grinding drop. This song reminds me of a Justice production with it’s promising vocals and almost psychedelic feel, until Vaski’s heavy bass influence takes over! The bass driven youngster shows a promising future and this track is a testament to his production talent. Pick this one up off of Beatport below and have a great Wobble Wednesday!

Wobble Wednesday: Vaski – Jelly (Coma! Remix)

Coma!’s remix of Vaski’s original track, ‘Jelly’, puts more of a deep dubstep sound compared to the original mix. It brings down the higher pitched wobbles down to a mellower bounce but still manages to keep the same levels of high energy. Additionally, he has put his own twist on other dubstep bangers such as ‘Hot Pursuit’ – Camo & Krooked and ‘Devil’ – Warrior Music.
