Will.i.am “Let’s Go” New Single Controversy

will.i.am-willpower-2013-1500x1500

The newest release “Let’s Go” off of will.i.am’s upcoming #willpower album came with an unpleasant surprise – particularly for Arty and Mat Zo, who found that their collaboration “Rebound” was sampled without any heads up whatsoever. This is far from the first accusation will.i.am has faced for unauthorized sampling, having experienced troubles with Boys Noize, Deadmau5, and a variety of other artists in the past. The crew over at Anjunabeats (Arty, Mat Zo, and label founder Jono Grant) have voiced their concerns over Twitter and Facebook, but at the same time they’re likely preparing for a heavenly payday. Take a listen to the two tracks below and see what all the fuss is about (if you’re having trouble, I recommend skipping to 3:25 in “Rebound”). So far will.i.am has yet to comment, but we’ll keep you updated.

GQ Interview With Avicii Causes Quite A Stir

Aviciis-GQ

Recently GQ tagged along with Avicii for an in depth feature interview. Unfortunately for Tim the article did not paint him in the best light and lead to a heated response from the man himself as well as responses from many other DJs like A-Trak, Laidback Luke, Tommie Sunshine and Eats Everything.

The controversy was sparked by GQ’s reporter, Jessica Pressler’s account of her 4 day visit with Avicii. She portrayed his fans as party animal, drug fiends and douchebags and the superstar Swede as a bit of a pre-madonna himself. This segment of the interview caused the most uproar:

Azealia Banks Starts Argument With Baauer Over Harlem Shake

Azealia Banks, the American rapper and singer, recently sent some heated tweets at Baauer regarding his recent trap hit ‘Harlem Shake’. Banks used the track as a backing track for a new bootleg, which Baauer asked to have taken down claiming copyright infringement. Then she quickly decided to give Baauer a piece of her mind via twitter:

Baauer then simply replied “cause its not your song lol”, which set off the fire storm from Banks. She went on to insult Baauer, calling him a “faggot” and a “pussy” and has even attacked Diplo saying, ”diplo you’re a real fucking snake. you owe M.I.A everything you have”. Clearly Azealia needs to learn to be more understanding when an artist doesn’t want you stealing his or her work. Check out Azealia’s version below.

Audien – Wayfarer (Original Mix)

‘Wayfarer’ by Audien has been an incredibly popular track ever since Above & Beyond debuted it when they opened their ABGT 001 set in India. Audien brings us into the track with driving leads, eventually breaking into a very euphoric break just before a massive, big room chord progression. This track is a must have for any trance or progressive fans, truly a great tune. Enjoy!
