Today the third episode of The Collaborators series has been released, adding to the ever increasing anticipation for the release of Daft Punk’s upcoming album Random Access Memories on May 21st. This episode features Nile Rogers, the legendary American guitarist and producer who has been behind countless hit records. Rogers was the first person involved with the upcoming album to allude that the french robotic duo had a new album in the works. As with the previous two episodes of the Collaborator Series this episode gives us some more insight into just how incredible this album will be.
The legendary nightclub Marquee has just released an amazing compilation album featuring music from EDM’s biggest names such as Hardwell, Fedde Le Grand, Ferry Corsten, Arty, Eric Morillo and many more. The double disc compilation also features†previously†unreleased†tracks and mixes from†Joachim Garraud,†EDX,†Blake†Jarrell,†Cosmic†Gate†& Andrew†Bayer,†EC†Twins & Andy†D’Arrigo, and†Glenn†Morrison. This compilation is definitely a must have for any EDM fan. You can purchase the album on iTunes†here.
Despite no appearance of the infamous duo at SXSW following many rumors of a Daft Punk show, some more news regarding their album has surfaced. Sony has registered 13 tracks for the upcoming Daft Punk album and it will be 74 minutes and 40 seconds. While this news doesn’t hold much substance it’s more news on their album none the less. Stay tuned for more updates.
Trance family around the world, welcome to the ninth edition of our beloved TTR. This week we kick off with ‘Aldo’, a beautiful original mix from Huntington Beach natives, Norin & Rad, on Above & Beyond’s ever so respected Anjunabeats record label. Next we have the extremely uplifting club mix to Dankann and Antillas’ ‘When You Love Someone’, which features the euphoric vocals of singer, Laurell. Up next we have some great synth play in Ronski Speed and Dennis Sheperd’s new original, ‘Karoshi’, as well as some great progression in Protoculture’s ‘Laguna’. Last but not least, we have ‘Sky High’, a great uplifting track from Vintage & Morelli.
Following our favorite releases of the week, we’ve included each set from A State of Trance 600 in Beirut, Lebanon which took place just a few days ago on March 9. However, one performance stood out to us, the rest of the world, and Armin van Buuren himself as he†referred†to it as simply “underestimated”.†Marlo Hoogstraten, better known as MarLo, took the bull by the horns this past Saturday and delivered an unbelievable, high energy set. MarLo, who flew all the way from Australia, is recently buzzing off his recent hit ‘Boom’ on the A State of Trance 2013 compilation album, which many have dubbed the unofficial anthem to ASOT 600. For those of you unfamiliar with MarLo, we have featured him in the background image above. That said, enjoy the tunes below, and tweet us @Techibeats with your favorites of this week. Until next time, party safe.

have the most recent installment of Avicii’s new podcast. The best part about tuning into these is the new music; the artists all have it, and we all want it. The set starts with Syn Cole’s remix of “We Are The Lucky Ones” and continues into a new vocal mix of Avicii and Nicky Romero’s “Nicktim.” My personal favorite is Darwin and Backwall’s remix of “Space 1010,” which adds perfect extra grunge to the set. Avicii also uses the podcast as a time to do a quick update of what he’s up to, which sounds like a lot of studio time. So look forward to a new year of tunes Avicii lovers and grab a free download below!

Last week Above & Beyond dealt a crushing blow to their fans with the news that their legendary radio show Trance Around The World is coming to and end. It seemed that their upcoming TATW 450 from Bangalore, India would be the last show and an end to an amazing era of 9 years of TATW, leaving their fans with many questions and concerns. However, today the trio gave us some fantastic news that although Trance Around The World is no more, they will be ushering in a new weekly radio show fittingly titled Group Therapy Radio. The start of Group Therapy Radio will be triggered when Above & Beyond take the stage on November 10th in Bangalore, India. Just like TATW, ABGT will present a 90 minute mix featuring the best new music with a 30 minute guest mix every Friday. Here is what the group had to say about the new show:
Group Therapy captures the relationship between us, our music and you, our audience, and the magic that happens when those three things interact. It’s something you’ve all taken into your hearts and it lies at the centre of everything that we do – the community, the connection, the interaction. Our¬†radio¬†show is our weekly Group Therapy with all of you.
Here at Techibeats we couldn’t be more relieved to hear this news and can’t wait to follow this new show which is sure to be just as amazing as its predecessor.
