Born and raised in the Netherlands, Nicky developed an interest for music at a very young age. At 6 years old he started using a snare drum after joining a marching band. It’s safe to say this guy has come a long way since then and is now one of the most well known Producers/DJ’s in the game ranking at #17 in DJ Mags Top 100 DJ Poll. Nicky Romero has taken the EDM scene by storm over the past two years. Not only creating massive original tracks like ‘Toulouse’ and ‘Generation 303′ but also has worked on massive collaborations with artists like David Guetta, Avicii, Fedde Le Grand and Calvin Harris. Chocolate Puma – Go-Go Boots (Original Mix) [Preview]

The Dutch house duo, Chocolate Puma, just released a preview for their newest track entitled “Go-Go Boots.” The group mentioned on their Soundcloud page that they are revisiting their “love for Acid House. Go-Go Boots is all about the repetitive bass synth sound we all know so very well.” While they usually produce a more classic house sound (with the occasional tech house track here and there), they managed to create an absolute acid house banger. The track is planned to be released on their Pssst Music label, with no set release date mentioned yet. Enjoy!

EDC Las Vegas 2012: Essential Mix by Fista Cuffs [Free Download]

It is my pleasure to give you our very own EDC Las Vegas Essential Mix, exclusively recorded by the one and only, Fista Cuffs. The mix is chop full of the top 25 tracks that you will be hearing all weekend and is geared toward raising your excitement levels to an all time high. Tomorrow night (Thursday), the majority of the corporate Techi team and I will be initiating our weekend at Hardwell Presents Revealed, where we will be seeing performances by Dannic, Dyro, and Hardwell himself. Continuing our adventures, we will be partying with our good friend and president of Techibeats, Fista Cuffs, as he performs at the Mandalay Bay pool party on Friday from 11am – 3pm. However, if you are just looking to rage at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the infamous carnival of electric daisies, we will be there all three days as well. Keep your eyes out for our team; we will be sporting our Techi tanks and aloha tees all weekend. Kaskade vs. Nicky Romero – Turn It Down Toulouse (Bassjackers Edit)

Kaskade’s hit track “Turn It Down” was possibly the peak of his set at Coachella 2012 and it wasn’t just his own track he incorporated into his set. Bassjackers, renown for their hit tracks such as “Mush, Mush” and their remix of Tiesto’s “Maximal Crazy,” had their edit of “Turn It Down,” which incorporates elements of Nicky Romero’s “Toulouse,” played out over the two weekend festival to a very receptive audience that seemed to love the mashup. With surreal visuals to accompany the epic hit, Kaskade brought the house down with an unbelievable set of incalculable proportions.

Nicky Romero – Tension (Vocal Mix) [Free Download]

Nicky Romero just released this track for FREE on his Soundcloud after reaching 100K Facebook friends. According to Nicky, “Tension was made a year ago, and been around in my sets for long mostly used as bootleg, because many people asked about the track it seemed a good give away for reaching 100K fans, thanks everyone!” The track has a typical Romero sound and includes a sampled vocal loop during the build. Nicky Romero – Toulouse (Tommy Trash Remix)

One of the biggest names in electro music, Tommy Trash, has remixed what is arguably one of Nicky Romero’s best tracks, “Toulouse,” to create an even bigger electro track. By retaining the majority of the original synths and melodies of the verse Tommy Trash keeps the iconic feel of the original track intact, while creating a more choppy electro bassline after the drop. The remix was released onto Beatport along with a Chocolate Puma remix, so make sure to go pick up a copy. Turn your speakers up and enjoy!
