Tomorrowland Full Stage Lineup

Have you ever been to paradise? Because that’s what Tomorrowland is for electronic music lovers; your own distant land of cool people, good times and amazing music with a set up unlike any other festival. Now, those fortunate 180,00 ticket buyers have a full line up for each stage, and of course, it’s stacked as expected. Sick of the top mainstream DJs like Tiesto, Hardwell and Avicii? Do not fret, just head to one of the other nine stages and see Eric Prydz, Infected Mushroom, or Dyro. Want to give hardstyle a listen and see what it’s all about? No worries, just head to the Q-Dance stage dedicated to the genre. This line up contains by far the most diverse group of artists, and concert goers are not just entering a festival, but a whole other world. Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, & GTA feat. Wolfpack – Turn It Up (Original Mix)

The Belgian brothers, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, have been on fire this year releasing banger after banger of everything from big room house to hard style in preparation for this years festival circuit which their tunes always seem to dominate. “Turn It Up,” coming off of Tiesto’s Musical Freedom label, is their latest collaboration with GTA and Wolfpack and it, like everything else they produce, is massive. Their distinctly European synthesizer sound is really emphasized in this track as it forms the main melody leading up to the GTA influenced percussion based drop. Then, as the dust begins to settle, the bridge begins to build back the energy with an intense synthesizer chord progression that leads up to an even harder drop as stabbing synths dance in and out of the drums GTA laid down in the first drop. All in all, “Turn It Up” is nothing short of a festival anthem which has seemed to become Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s production of choice since their inception. Enjoy!

Dimitri Vegas, Moguai, & Like Mike – Mammoth (Original Mix)

A triple collaboration from Dimitri Vegas, Moguai, and Like Mike can only be something massive, “Mammoth” even. Their latest track titled after the prehistoric elephant-like beast has hit Beatport today after months of anticipation for its release. “Mammoth” is a huge track featured in the Tommorowland 2012 after movie, and has been gaining support from electronic giants like Pete Tong, Hardwell, and David Guetta. The house track features a winding build with stellar back beats. It transitions quickly into a massive melody, with super housey synths and distinct sounds from Moguai, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike respectively. You will not want to miss the German/Belgian teamwork which has resulted in one of the biggest tracks of the year.

SFX Entertainment Expands Their EDM Industry Reign With The Purchase of Beatport

Robert F.X. Sillerman is the man behind SFX Entertainment and he is on a mission to become the undisputed ruler of the EDM industry. SFX has purchased event production companies Disco Donnie Presents and Life In Color, and invested in several Miami nightclubs. SFX has also entered into a joint venture with ID&T, the company behind Tomorrowland, Sensation and Energy among others.

Today, a New York Times article revealed that SFX has invested in another massive company in the EDM industry with its recent purchase of dance music online store Beatport. Sources say that SFX purchased Beatport for a little over $50 million. The CEO of Beatport said that SFX will allow Beatport to expand business to a wider audience and into new sectors like event production. Sillerman’s quest to buy EDM is a stark example that electronic music has moved out of the underground and people like Sillerman are working overtime to cash in. The question that no one can answer is how the shift to big business will change EDM long term.
