Here’s a killer remix of Tim Berg’s “Alcoholic” done by 2013′s spotlight duo, Cazzette. Leave it up to the Swedish pair to make trap cool again. The track doesn’t slow down until after the first two minutes, but when the it does, I’d imagine a crowd would go just as wild as I did in my bedroom. With perfect amounts of bass (perfect being a lot), and some typical trap-sounding synths made to fit the mold of the original, this song is definitely a winner. Tim Berg – Alcoholic (Cazzette’s Trapleg Remix) [Preview]

cazzetteIt seems these days everyone is taking a stab at producing trap music. Cazzette is no exception to that generalization. The electro duo have taken the track “Alcoholic” by Tim Berg, the artist formally known as Avicii and added a unreal electro trap remix to the song. “Alcoholic” in the Cazzette Trapleg remix begins with a delightfully funky back beat and progresses with intensity and build to include sirens and layers of synths. Then after the tagline lyrics of the song, “Alcoholic” breaks down into some gnarly trap beats that still include the electro influence of Cazzette. The full remix will be out on Leve7s April 19th, be sure to get the entire track when it’s released!

Diplo & Friends on BBC Radio 1: Avicii [Free Download]

Diplo is switching it up and shocking fans with an unlikely guest taking over the guest tables this week in his Diplo and Friends mix on BBC Radio 1. This week’s heavily house influenced guest is “Levels” producer, Avicii or also known as Tim Berg. It may come as a surprise to many, but the two are actually close pals as he reassures listeners and while Diplo has been known for tearing up dance floors with his heavy bass trap sound, this week’s episode offers a different yet dance worthy mix ranging of a variety of genres from disco to electro all while showcasing Avicii’s mixing talent. In honor of World AIDS day on December 1st, Tiesto has gathered together the industry’s biggest names in a album compilation consisting of the top tracks in the 2011-2012 season. Names like Calvin Harris, Tim Berg, Baauer, Dada Life, Swanky Tunes, Hardwell, Chuckie, and much more have all snagged a spot on this special album. Tiesto quotes:

“When I went to Africa in 2006, I was struck by the devestating effect of AIDS. Now the world has an incredible chance to make sure that babies are born HIV free by 2015, and the dance community is going to make a lot of noise to help make this happen.”

Interview: Avicii

Tim Bergling, better known to us as the Swedish house producer Avicii, has sky rocketed to the top of the EDM world in a flash. He went from a fairly unknown producer just a couple years ago to headlining the biggest festivals and unveiling a brand new custom live show. Last year he ranked 6th on the DJ Mag Top 100, making a staggering jump after entering the poll in 2010 at 39th. His infectious melodies and up beat performances have people all around the world always hungry for the next Avicii track. With a massive arena tour and countless bangers in his arsenal, it is sure to be an epic summer for Avicii as well as his fans. Tim Berg, more internationally known as Avicii, is back with yet another highly anticipated release titled “Before This Night Is Through (Bad Things)”. Avicii has an amazing ability to hype his upcoming shows and releases in a similar manner as The Swedish House Mafia and Deadmau5. Their precise advertising selective ticket releases create a sense of ambiguity forcing you to ask questions and become intrigued. It is through this sense of exclusivity that these DJ’s were able to rise to stardom in the blink of an eye. Though the release of “Before This Night Is Through (Bad Things)” most assuredly won’t be as big of a release as “Levels” or “Fade Into Darkness”, the same strategy has been employed to hype the song to the point where it guarantees to be big.
