The best thing about a remix EP is being able to listen to one of your favorite songs being played five different ways. In this case, The M Machine, Audien, CLMD, and Whiiite apply their own take on Arty’s wildly successful collaboration with Chris James, “Together We Are” off of Big Beat Records. The original, as is exemplified in the provided instrumental mix, is massive in itself displaying everything we love about dance music: emotion, feel good vibes, and fun. The remixes have taken the canvass of which Arty himself created and have tweaked his masterpiece to combine their own styles. The M Machine lends their mechanical electro sound to the song, Audien adds his own unique trance twist to the mix, CLMD adds even more beauty with his own progressive house take on the song, and Whiiite turns up the energy with his own hard hitting electro remix. In celebration of its 15th year, Ultra has unveiled many new announcements for festival goers such as the event taking place over two weekends, free water filling stations, and festival wide wi-fi connection. While these are all amazing additions to the already stellar event, the most obvious and most notable spectacle is this year’s stacked lineup. Madeon – Triple J Mix [Free Download]

After Porter Robinson blew our minds with his own 30 minute Triple J mix at the end of last year, another one of the young DJ prodigies, Madeon, has returned with an impressive 46 track mix in only 33 minutes using nothing more then two Ableton Launchpads and a midi controller. The talent this kid has is unreal and can only be realized by clicking the play button below and listening to the magic he creates. Madeon describes his own mix as, “A snapshot of the music that’s been exciting me as a DJ recently, ranging from electro to disco-ish stuff.” The spectrum of music of which he speaks so modestly is huge as he pulls tracks from The M Machine, Audien, Zedd, Autoerotique, Kill the Noise, Wolfgang Gartner, Justice, Lemâitre, and, of course, his own arsenal of music. This mix will prove to those skeptical of DJing that it is in fact an art that takes a particular creative mind to master. Arty’s new track “Together We Are” has proven to be a huge hit among the dance world, charting to the top 5 tracks on Beatport recently. Right when we thought the original mix wasn’t enough, there are three new remixes on their way for an official release! I honestly didn’t see this one coming, especially from some of the artists that are remixing this beautiful, uplifting progressive house track. Those being a big room house remix by Audien, very unique electro house-ish remix from The M Machine, and a feel-good progressive remix from CLMD. The whole remix package is due to release on Beatport via Big Beat Records March 18th. Be sure to check back then and enjoy!

Wobble Wednesday: The M Machine – Tiny Anthem (Official Music Video)

After The M Machine rocked our world’s last week with their amazing 6-track EP, Metropolis Pt. II, they return to the site this week with some visual explanations in the form of the official music video for, “Tiny Anthem.” Obscure as they are, The M Machine takes you to another galaxy as we follow the journey of a young woman escaping the treachery of an evil alien villain bent on enslaving the entire universe. With the help of The M Machine the young woman realizes the truths of her enslavement and is bestowed the power to save herself as well as the other captives in their attempt to escape and reach freedom once again. The music video takes on a 90′s looking cartoon form to properly illustrate the adventure behind, “Tiny Anthem” in a creative and entertaining way. Wobble Wednesday: Kill Paris – Slap Me (GRiZ Remix) [Free Download]

Kill Paris has blown up in the past year with countless free releases displaying his unique “futuristic funk” sound, a myriad of remixes of songs new and old as well as collaboration with Dillon Francis on one of them, and a record deal with Skrillex’s monster of a label, OWSLA, featuring artists such as The M Machine, Seven Lions, and Porter Robinson. Finally, Kill Paris will release his debut EP off of OWSLA entitled, To a New Earth, which will feature three original tracks as well as remixes of them from the likes of GRiZ, Gramatik, Candyland, K Theory, and Robert Delong. The mysterious San Franciscan Trio, The M Machine, have returned with the second installment of their Metropolis EP off of Skrillex’s record label, OWSLA. Their unique sound that they established in Metropolis Pt. I has gone even farther as these amazing producers have managed to blend the most gorgeous of melodies and the most beautiful of vocals with some of the rawest, darkest, complex, and mechanical electro house and dubstep I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. Each song will take you on a different journey as these artists pave the way towards the sounds of the future in their attempt to display exactly what The M Machine is all about. Metropolis as a fully complete EP is unlike anything I’ve ever heard before and The M Machine will soon achieve the recognition they deserve, mark my words. Wobble Wednesday: The M Machine – Metropolis Pt. II [Album Teaser]

The M Machine put themselves on the map in 2011 with their debut release on OWSLA titled, “Metropolis Pt. I”. They premiered their work through an album teaser video directed by Scott Pagano that received much cyber succes. We’ve been patiently waiting for Pt. II and we finally have something to hold us over, with the 2013, Metropolis Pt. II album teaser, created & directed by the notorious Scott Pagano.The official name for The M Machine’s YouTube channel is, “Metropoganda” and my oh my, is it fitting. No words can describe what I’ve just witnessed, so I invite you to witness this magic for yourself. The psychadelic adventure that unfolds will undoubtedly leave you wanting more and we are amped for the official release on February 19th!

Bruno Mars – Locked Out of Heaven (The M Machine Remix)

The M Machine have done it again folks! This time taking the super poppy single by Bruno Mars, “Locked Out of Heaven” and completely restructuring it into an elite EDM remix. The synths in this track are extremely funky & uplifting and this track is putting me in an insanely good mood as I write this with the rain pounding on my window. The M Machine did an outstanding job with Bruno Mars’ distinct voclas and getting them to match up perfectly with the handcrafted background beat they have created. The intro sounds like it has major influence from OWSLA leader, Skrillex, with it’s poppy sample chops, but as the song starts to blossom and evolve, The M Machine infuse their style and claim this one as their own. This is just one of those feel good tunes that I really can’t get enough of, do yourself a favor and grab this one off of Beatport through the provided link found below.

OWSLA Tour 2012

OWSLA has just announced their first tour which will be kicking off in Nashville this late October. The tour will include a jam packed lineup with the sounds of Kill the Noise, Alvin Risk, and Jack Beats to name a few with a few spots featuring surprise guests Skrillex and Zedd.
