Together the four bring you “Collapsar,” a hard hitting electro track that takes bringing the house down to a whole other level. It’s a big couple weeks for Axtone Records, especially from the release of “Wakanda,” so why not keep the momentum with another banging track, “Rasuptin?” Russian duet, Hard Rock Sofa, have steered away from anthem house like most do in March, and have brought you a progressive track that will make your feet raw from dancing. Fun fact for you all, Rasputin is a legitimate historical figure in Russia, so thank you Hard Rock for educating and giving us good music. Swanky Tunes & Peking Duk feat. James Mcnally – You Are Like Nobody Else [Preview]

The rambunctious Russian trio, Swanky Tunes, have teamed up with the up-and-coming Australian DJ’s and producers, Peking Duk, to bring us a preview of their latest collaboration entitled, “You Are Like Nobody Else.” Another Aussie, James Mcnally, lays down some pretty heavy and heartfelt vocals on the track as we begin to see a deeper side to Swanky Tunes amongst all of the raging madness that typically usurps their productions; such a distinction most likely stems from the addition of Peking Duk whose past productions fit the bill. Beautiful piano chords, deep bass lines, and gentle waves of synths support great voice of James Mcnally as the song takes a rather euphoric upswing with the release of the drop containing a catchy, yet substantial synthesizer melody that is typical of the Swanky Tunes style. Â The full release of the track will be February 11 on Swanky Tunes’ label Showland, so be sure to check back with us to hear the final version of the masterpiece, “You Are Like Nobody Else!”

Neocube – Feel Me EP

It’s understandable if you’ve never heard of Gold Plate Recordings before now; this underground Russian label has been putting out a solid stream of tracks on the low, representing all kinds of styles from dubstep to trance. The Feel Me EP shows the label doing what it does best – a diverse collection of drum & bass tracks that range from powerful, head-nodding beats to relaxing, chill-out sounds. A personal favorite is Neocube’s “Feel Me” – a fun, energetic track with an absolutely gritty bass that just hits all the right spots. Longtime DJ/producer Dmitry Almazov is recognized as one of the best producers to come out of Russia and as a pioneer of Russian electronic dance music. Better known as Bobina, he has held a perennial spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Poll. While releasing 4 artist albums and numerous remixes, Bobina has also played on the biggest stages in the world such as Global Gathering, Trance Energy, WMC and Kazantip. Not only has he been the driving force behind the ascension of Russia dance music, but he has also been influential to the successful careers of artists like Tiësto and Armin van Buuren. The talented Bobina holds a plethora of distinctions and accolades such as being the first Russian DJ to appear on the DJ Mag Top 100 chart reaching as high as #28 and winning awards through the RDMA (Russian Dance Music Awards). As he is quite the superstar in Russia, Bobina has long made his presence felt here in the United States. Just this past Saturday he filled Avalon in Hollywood playing along side Jerome Isma-Ae for his radio show “Russia Goes Clubbing.” Following his show we got a chance to catch up with Bobina. As partygoers in the United States attended Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas this past weekend, Russia seemed to go just as hard at Sensation Innerspace 2012. The venue at these Sensation events is always absolutely surreal and frankly a game changer. The 360 degree stage allows for maximum attention and crowd unity. After searching the depths of the internet, we’ve been able to find live sets from the event from Alexey Romeo, Axwell, Daniel Sanchez & Juan Sanchez, Matisse & Sadko, Mr. White, and Sander Van Doorn. The sets highly very in style and genre, but each of them are equally a great listen and epic illustration of production talent.
