Earlier in the week Kanye West tweeted “June Eighteenth” and set off a frenzy of anticipation for the release of his upcoming 6th solo album. While an official statement regarding the upcoming album has not been released a number of sources have revealed some artists who joined West on the album including; 2 Chainz, members of Odd Future, Chief Keef, Skrillex and most notably Daft Punk.
When speaking about the collaboration Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter described a session saying, “It was very raw, he was rapping – kind of screaming primally.” The results of this collaboration are sure to be very interesting. Skrillex also revealed some details about the collaboration in an interview with The Daily Beat, saying “I did some music with Kanye and from what I know, it’s actually going to be the first song on his new album.” We will have to wait until June 18th to hear the finished products of these legendary collaborations.
