Hardwell Foreshadows Collaboration With Knife Party

Within the dance music world, collaborations are by no means scarce. With modern day technology expanding the internet, social media, and quick travel, we’re blessed to have so many artists in today’s generation of music join forces in order to create a piece of art bearing the influential quantities of more than just one unique party. Just recently, however, young superstar Hardwell posted a picture of himself to Facebook with the two bass legends known as Knife Party with the caption, “Knife Party and I – guess what’s coming up?”. Should we be surprised that these artists have joined forces? If you take a look at their musical past, perhaps. However, if you study the direction in which dance music is headed, I believe we should not. Wolfgang Gartner recently stated “dance music right now is just this mashup of every single subgenre possible”. So, what should we expect? Considering Knife Party breathes bass music, and Hardwell has been putting on quite the show lately with heavy electro house on his beloved record label, Revealed Recordings, it’s safe to say we’ll be given a heavily supported, chart climbing monster of music. Hopefully the track will be finished before the full swing of festival season, so stay tuned for any updates. We hope you all had a great weekend!

Dyro’s most recent release on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings, “Leprechauns & Unicorns, gives off a slightly different sound than were used to hearing. His progressive synth-work remains top notch, but the track has a very dark and ominous feel to it. As heavy hitting as it gets, this track is sure to bounce of the walls of any club and light up festivals throughout the summer. Go ahead and take a listen below because this track is heavy.

Chuckie, Dzeko & Torres – Down To This (Original Mix)

A collaboration between Chuckie and Dzeko & Torres has a massive amount of potential from the very start. The Dutch legend and up and coming duo both have distinguished themselves as prolific producers in their own right. “Down To This” is am electro house track keeps you moving with a scorching bassline fueled by a those familiar Dutch sirens. A simplistic key progression laces the track beautifully to only further contribute to the track’s overall euphoric feel. This track has everything you look for in a festival smasher, so expect to hear much more of it as we approach the summer. Enjoy!

Tuesday Trance Report: 110

Trance family around the world, welcome back to the 10th installment of our beloved Tuesday Trance Report. These past few weeks we’ve tried a different format of presenting our favorite high bpm melodies, but we’ve found that classic works best. So, without further ado, I hope you enjoy these tunes as much as all of us here in the Techifam. Leading off we’re blessed with a free “rebuild” from Andrew Rayel titled ‘If I Lose My Space BOOM’. If you’ve been keeping up with Rayel, you know he’s been hitting 2013 with quite the splash as one of this year’s most promising up and comers. Next up, Ashley Wallbridge’s ‘Ying Yang’ has finally released to Gareth Emery’s record label, Garuda Music. Showing some similarities to his collaboration with Gareth himself on their classic track, ‘Mansion’, we can always expect a great piece of work from Mr. Wallbridge. Richard Durand then takes the spotlight with his minimalistic trance build in ‘TranceMatic’, which eventually builds into a beautiful, high energy synth melody. Then, on Armada sub label, A State of Trance, we have the 138 bpm madness of Sebastian Brandt’s ‘Paragon’. Last but not least, Store N Forward feature Hannah Ray’s emotional vocals on their latest original mix, ‘Hero’. You’ve heard it almost every weekend, but the love for Vicetone will not stop. Their new release “Stars” only expands and brings more truth to this sentiment. The release is a standard progressive house track, but the vocals from Jonny Rose, the melody within the track, and the ways in which the melody is portrayed throughout the track make this song another banger under the Dutch duo’s belt. Only 20 years old, these guys are finally catching the attention of dance music lovers everywhere. Hopefully, fans will still get the occasional free download… cross your fingers! Bingo Players – Out Of My Mind (Dada Life Remix)

The Bingo Players’ single, “Out Of My Mind”, blew up after it initially released back in November. It has since been in thousands of sets worldwide and continues to smash clubs and festivals leading into the summer. The timing seemingly could not be better for the original mix to receive a revamping courtesy of the notorious Swedish duo known as Dada Life. Their official remix does not stray too far away from the original’s roots, but you can definitely hear where Dada Life’s signature sounds come into play.
