Ultra Miami Live Sets Weekend 1

Well fans, the first weekend of Ultra Music Festival in Miami has come to a close and wow was it an amazing one. I sure hope some of you were either there for the amazing experience or streaming in from your computer via Ultra’s YouTube channel UMFTV. With some of the world’s biggest DJs playing sets throughout the day at different times and stages, it was hard to catch everyone you wanted to see as most festivals go. The wonderful thing about our post here is we have a chance for you to relive the experience through you ears, with some of our favorites from the first weekend. We apologize that some of these aren’t the full sets, but we will update them throughout the week once we get our hands on any full recordings as they arise. If you aren’t going to be at weekend two later this week, don’t miss out on the live music and tune in to UMFTV Friday-Sunday!

Madeon – Triple J Mix [Free Download]

Madeon-Triple-J - techi

After Porter Robinson blew our minds with his own 30 minute Triple J mix at the end of last year, another one of the young DJ prodigies, Madeon, has returned with an impressive 46 track mix in only 33 minutes using nothing more then two Ableton Launchpads and a midi controller. The talent this kid has is unreal and can only be realized by clicking the play button below and listening to the magic he creates. Madeon describes his own mix as, “A snapshot of the music that’s been exciting me as a DJ recently, ranging from electro to disco-ish stuff.” The spectrum of music of which he speaks so modestly is huge as he pulls tracks from The M Machine, Audien, Zedd, Autoerotique, Kill the Noise, Wolfgang Gartner, Justice, Lemâitre, and, of course, his own arsenal of music. This mix will prove to those skeptical of DJing that it is in fact an art that takes a particular creative mind to master. Madeon, at 18 years old, has mastered such an art and the beauty of it all is that he’s just getting started. Enjoy and check out the full tracklist after the jump!

Martin Solveig, the mastermind behind such hits as “Hello” and “The Night Out,” has put together a 15 minute Dance Anthem Mix which aired on BBC Radio 1 just the other day and features some of the hottest tracks out there right now. The Bloody Beetroots & Greta Svabo Bech – Chronicles Of A Fallen Love (Tom Swoon Remix) [Preview]

Tom Swoon can’t stop, won’t stop and that’s just fine because he’s only getting better and better. Last post it was an amazing progressive remix of “Phat Brahms” and this time it’s The Bloody Beetroot’s “Chronicles Of A Fallen Love”. Both are exceptional progressive tracks and unique in their own way, which isn’t always easy with big anthem tracks. With fast moving synth progressions, big room sounds, and support from Porter Robinson and Matisse & Sadko, this is surely going to be a big one. The new track will be released January 22nd off Ultra Music and you’ll most definitely want it. Keep an eye out for Tom Swoon party people, he’ll Swoon (haha) be a big name!

Zedd & Matthew Koma – Spectrum (Dead C∆T Bounce Remix) [Free Download]

Dead Cat Bounce has remixed Zedd’s “Spectrum” and although it’s super short, it’s definitely worth the download. The strings are immediately captivating, which lead to Matthew Koma’s voice and a sick breakdown that reminds me of old school Porter Robinson. Interested in more of Dead Cat Bounce? Check out their Facebook HERE and grab a free download of the remix ASAP!

Mat Zo – DnB Mix of Love

Amped on his chart topping, recent collaboration with Porter Robison titled, ‘Easy’, it’s fair to say that British prodigy, Mat Zo, is “on one”. Just this weekend he has given us a reminder as to why he is one of the most diverse in the game with this two hour mix of drum and bass mayhem, which he calls his ‘DnB Mix of Love’. Straying from his progressive house and trance roots, it’s always a great surprise to have some d&b thrown into the equation. N-Joy.
