Wobble Wednesday Exclusive Release: FS – Half Android

How could the release of Half Android almost be overlooked? Brooklyn based FS delivers one of the most musically diverse pieces of work that I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. He pulls together bits and pieces of musical knowledge stemming from various aspects of his instrumental background. He played guitar, piano and began DJ’ing all before the ripe age of 10 years old. It was at about that point in time that electronic sounds from video games and other resources began to consume him. From that point on FS has been exploring deep into the depths of EDM and has been able to take hold of multiple genres like Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Electronica, and Glitch Hop. Half Android features 11 tracks that prove his range is not limited to the constraints of a single genre. Tracks like “Cut & Cut” embody the epitome of what we call Glitch Hop – a bass driven beat that is gentle enough to spit a verse on. The heavily Drum & Base influenced “Silent Weapon for a  Quiet War” features an up tempo beat accompanied by the perfect amount of blips and bleeps. However, the majority of the songs, like “Dub Combination”, stick to the Dubstep formula of heavy bass on top of a fluctuating beat. If you consider yourself a Dubhead in the slightest, this is an album you need to hear!
