Panda Bear aka Noah Benjamin Lennox the founder of Animal Collective talks about his experience with collaborating with Daft Punk on their newest album Random Access Memories which will be released on May 21st. The 34 year old experimental musician has changed the musical landscape with Animal Collective and he continues to push the boundaries with his collaboration with Daft Punk on their new album. They first became acquainted when Panda Bear reached out to the robots a couple years earlier inquiring if they could do a remix of one of their songs to which they curtly replied, “We don’t do that stuff anymore.” A little while after that Panda Bear reached out to them again after doing some solo work to see if they could remix one of his own songs to which they once again said, “We don’t do that stuff anymore… But maybe we could work on something together.” Then a year and a half later Daft Punk reached out to Panda Bear inviting him to Paris to collaborate on something with them.
