Does the legendary Markus Schulz ever disappoint? Absolutely not. What better way to mellow out after a long weekend than kick back and listen to this melodic mix consisting of some of the “deeper and more progressive tracks” that Schulz has recently been digging. After recording this in between his appearances at Miami’s Winter Music Conference and ASOT 600 at Madison Square Garden, this mix continues to illustrate the diversity of true musicians. Though showing sincere differences from any of his live performances, it’s great to see big artists such as Markus Schulz protruding to deeper routes. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Well fans, the first weekend of Ultra Music Festival in Miami has come to a close and wow was it an amazing one. I sure hope some of you were either there for the amazing experience or streaming in from your computer via Ultra’s YouTube channel UMFTV. With some of the world’s biggest DJs playing sets throughout the day at different times and stages, it was hard to catch everyone you wanted to see as most festivals go. The wonderful thing about our post here is we have a chance for you to relive the experience through you ears, with some of our favorites from the first weekend. We apologize that some of these aren’t the full sets, but we will update them throughout the week once we get our hands on any full recordings as they arise. Tuesday Trance Report – 107

This week on the Tuesday Trance Report, we’re featuring only a few select tracks that have caught the eye of our entire staff. The first is Andrew Rayel’s remix to Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz’s ‘The Expedition’, which has been dubbed the respected anthem to ASOT600. Following Rayel we have BT’s radio edit to his brand new track ‘Skylarking’, and ‘Are You Ready’, a phenomenal original mix brought to Beatport by none other than DSCO on his latest EP, Year of the Snake, on Techibeats Records. Following the full releases of those three gems, we have a brand new preview to Dash Berlin’s remix of Hardwell’s ‘Apollo’, which provides some beautifully stemmed vocals from Amba Shepherd. Tuesday Trance Report – 102

Once again, I consider it an honor to present to you our brand new weekly, the Tuesday Trance Report. Though the world renown genre bears fans in each hemisphere of the globe, there seems to be a new explosion of talent, understanding, and appreciation taking place right here in the US. If you missed our first installment of our TTR, I’ll explain what’s going on. Below, we’ve accumulated our favorite tracks, mixes, and previews that have released since just past Tuesday. Today, we have the beautiful ‘Wayfarer’, an original mix by American progressive house and trance prodigy, Audien, which has been released just yesterday to Beatport on Above & Beyond’s  record label, Anjunabeats. Following Audien’s release we have Beat Service & Neev Kennedy’s ‘Not This Time’ and Estiva’s ‘Smiley Smilesworth’. Voted America’s best DJ, legendary trance producer, Markus Schulz, has just released this two disc album titled World tour – Best of 2012.  This collection of epic trance anthems consists of some of his most memorable moments touring around the globe. However, don’t be fooled! As much as we all wish this were a whole new album of Schulz productions, the collection features tracks from a bunch other artists as well, and each edit is ripped directly from a live set. Ferry Corsten & Markus Schulz – Stella [Preview]

Imagine yourself in a dance hall in the early 90′s, the trance music bumping and bouncing off the walls, with the German Duo Jam & Spoon spinning their widely popular track “Stella.” Now fast forward almost exactly 20 years later, and feel the 90′s inspiration on this updated version of the track by Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz. The Trance maestros’ tribute to the classic track clearly demonstrates the importance of this song to the electronic dance community. Fun little piece of history for you guys.
