Kaleidoscope Music Festival: Phase One Announcement

Northwest music festival goers! Boy oh boy, do we have a treat for you! Located in Eugene, Oregon:Emerald Meadows at Mt. Pigsah during the three night span of August 23rd, 24th, 25th, a new era of festival fantasy will be born. Brought to you by the guys at One Eleven Productions, Kaleidoscope Music Festival, plans to pave a new path for festival goers in the Northwest region. This 3 day of music & 3 nights of camping festival will feature one of the most diverse lineups to ever hit the state of Oregon. Spanning the genres of EDM, Indie Rock, Bluegrass, Hip Hop and Reggae, plus local beer, food, art and wine – Kaleidoscope intends to bring both nationally recognized talent as well as homegrown Oregon talent together to form every music festival goers dream. In the words of One Eleven, “There will be a major focus on the overall experience rather than just the musical performances”. Talent spanning the names of Bassnectar, Paper Diamond, Souls of Mischief, Minnesota, and many more  will all be in attendance and have all been announced during this first phase of lineup announcements. We are beyond excited to see who else is still to be revealed in this 3 phase announcement series. Summer Set Music Festival To Bring Top Tier Lineup To The Midwest

Last summer was the first year that React, Majestic and Sound in Motion teamed up to bring us Summer Set Music and Camping Festival held in Somerset, Wisconsin just a short drive from Minneapolis.   Those three companies are teaming up again for Summer Set 2013.  The Lineup recently dropped and it is a pretty eclectic group of artists. There are four headliners: Passion Pit, Girl Talk, STS9 and a returning headliner from last year, Big Gigantic. The remainder of the lineup boasts artists and sounds mainly hosting the likes of EDM, live bands and hip hop. Personally I am really excited to see Alex Metric, Kill Paris, Madeon, SBTRKT, Tommy Trash and Zedd. Diplo & Skrillex Join Forces Creating Supergroup – ‘Jack U’

Move over Boys Noize, it looks like Dog Blood has some new competition. It appears as if the wonderkin we all know as Skrillex has decided to team up with an even bigger co-star, Diplo. The lineup for the annual Mad Decent Block Party has a diverse array of artists all performing on the same stage throughout the summer. Among those prominent artists, however, is Jack U. If you had a dumbfounded look on your face when you came across that name, don’t worry, so did we. A tweet from Diplo a few days ago cleared up any confusion by simply stating “Jack u… Means skrillex+diplo..”. The two will be performing together throughout the duration of the tour and we cant wait to see how their diverse yet compatible styles clash. Next we can only hope that the duo will be hitting the studio together for some serious production time after the tour ends.

Hard Summer 2013 Lineup Announced

With a very clever video featuring a bunch of DJ look-a-like dogs, the Hard Summer 2013 lineup was announced this morning. This year the festival will be hosting an incredible lineup of diverse artists including Dog Blood, Duck Sauce, Flux Pavillion, Eats Everything, Duke Dumont, Knife Party, Julio Bashmore, Oliver and many more. Ed Banger Records and Dirtybird will both be bringing some extra special talent as they host their own stages at the festival. It seems that Hard really stepped up this year to bring something new and fresh to the table. The festival will take place on August 3rd & 4th at LA Historic State Park. TomorrowWorld Announces Dates and Location

There has been so much anticipation after the legendary festival, Tomorrowland, announced that they will be moving across the ocean for a new festival in the US, which they have called “TomorrowWorld”. Today it has been announced that the festival will take place over September 27th, 28th and 29th, and will be held in Chattahoochee Hills, GA. You can purchase individual day tickets for $127.00 each, a full madness (three day) pass for $347.oo, or a full madness pass + dreamville for $397.00. Electric Zoo Announces Expansion With Two Mainstages

With festivals across the world ramping up production and adding more dates it’s no surprise to see that Electric Zoo in NY has announced that it will be expanding the festival grounds for this years event and there will be two main stages. To celebrate the festival’s 5th year, there will be 5 stages in total and they will announcing the first phase of the lineup soon, so be sure to check back for the lineup and more info soon. Electric Zoo will take place on Randall’s Island from August 30th through September 1st.

Ultra Music Festival 2013 Compilation [Preview]

Ultra Music will be releasing an incredible compilation featuring the biggest and best tracks from a wide range of incredible EDM artists. The compilation album will feature tracks from David Guetta, Above & Beyond, Calvin Harris, Avicii, Afrojack, Deadmau5, Tiesto and many more. The album features several Ultra Music Festival Anthems including the previously released ‘United’ by Tiesto, Quintino and Alvaro and ‘Air Guitar’ by Afrojack as well as the unreleased ‘UMF’ by Avicii. Following the massive success of Porter Robinson & Mat Zo’s latest collaboration ‘Easy’ will be hosting an incredible ‘Lovin You Is Easy’ party at Mansion in Miami on March 15th. Mat Zo and Porter Robinson have individually proved themselves to be two of the young front runners of electronic music, each honing incredibly unique and infectious styles.
