This beautiful Friday afternoon I have for you a really sick mashup from Mikael Weermets, the Swedish producer who has proven to be a huge up-and-coming player in the electronic dance music world. I first heard of him when he was featured countless times on Tiesto’s Club Life podcast.  “Superlove” is one of my favorite melodies of the year, and I’m a sucker for anything with good girl vocals, in this case it’s the voice of Zashanel from Ken Loi’s track “All It Takes.” This mashup is massive!

Ken Loi’s remixes and mashups have been supported by many top producers such as Tiesto, Kaskade, Wolfgang Gartner, and Steve Aoki as essential parts of their live sets. Known for his melodic, progressive, and big-room house style; Ken Loi took time off in 2010 to improve and refine his sound, and the work has paid off big time for the producer hailing from San Francisco. This past year has been the biggest without a doubt for Ken Loi after releasing his bootleg of The Ting Ting’s “Hands”, which garnered immediate support from arguably the biggest name in Electronic Music, Tiesto. But it wasn’t until Ken Loi released his remix for Kaskade’s “Only You”, making it into the Beatport Top 100 that thrusted Ken Loi’s music and name into the limelight. Ken Loi’s passion for innovation and continually developing his sound, clearly shows in this remix of Van Toth’s “Electric Pickle”.
