Lazy Rich – Insomnia EP

Lazy Rich - Techi

The British Electro House monster, Lazy Rich, has been pioneering and leading the genre since 2004. His signature Complextro sound has matured and has garnered critical acclaim over the years which is apparent in his latest single, “Insomnia,” coming off of Chris Lake’s red hotRising Music Records. “Insomnia” is an incredibly beautiful vocal track, featuring the vocals of Chris Lake’s wife Gita Lake. Gorgeous grand piano chords are interwoven between Mrs. Lake’s lovely vocals and Lazy Rich’s wonderfully mastered drum beats. Then, just as the build up is about to reach it’s peak, Lazy Rich throws another surprise at us with a catchy, funky, and incredibly danceable electro bass drop rather then a gritty, electro banger of a drop that we’ve become accustomed to hearing from him. Then, the legend himself, John Dahlback adds his own musical genius to the song turning the beauty of Lazy Rich’s rendition into a darker, harder hitting progressive house version. Both tracks are fantastic in their own way, so take a listen to them both below and let us know which one you like better!

John Dahlback feat. Agnes – Life (Diamonds in the Dark) (Original Mix)

John Dahlback has been my favorite producer for some time now. He has produced tons of massive tracks including “Zeus”, “Get Wild”, and recently the smash hit “Pressure”. Dahlback is anything but just another Swedish producer, he is an innovator of sound. His latest track “Life (Diamonds in the Dark)” proves that fact. Agnes provides beautiful and soulful vocals to compliment the progressive house sounds of Dahlback. This track is now available on Beatport and I’m sure it will be circulating through DJ sets around the world.

John Dahlback – Diamonds (Lazy Rich Remix) [Preview]

With John Dahlback gaining more and more popularity, the remixes get better and better. It’s always a pleasant surprise when artists push for newer and more unique sounds that make you giddy inside when it works perfectly, which is exactly what Lazy Rich did with hit track “Diamonds”. The grungy electro house riff, smooth transitions and melodic breakdowns are all executed wonderfully by the veteran. Enjoy your mini dance party at  your computer, and look out for the new track released February 25th off Big Beat Records!

John Dahlback – Pressure (Original Mix)

John Dalhback has consistently created massive house tunes his entire career, and “Pressure” is no different. This is my new favorite song and with good reason. The track begins with huge hitting electro beats which wind up with the build and drop into straight Dahlback GRIME. “Pressure” is bursting with energy, and is the perfect track to motivate you to get anywhere on time when you’re running late. Out today through Spinnin Records, “Pressure” is something you do not want to miss out on.

Andain – What It’s Like (John Dahlback Remix)

John Dahlback has remixed Andain’s “What It’s Like” on Black Hole Roecrods. The track, which was released December 17th, has an electro house beginning that later breaks down into soothing vocals. Overall, it’s a pretty mellow electro house song, especially for John Dahlback, but the tech-house spin he puts on the track makes it for a well balanced listen. Dahlback has definitely been one of my favorites of 2012, and I’m anxious  to see what he brings out in 2013. Check it out!

John Dahlback – The Trip (Original Mix)

If you’ve been searching for an electro hit that has all the elements of a perfect electro track circa 2009, look no further. John Dahlback surprises us with this different yet refreshing throwback style, a fuse of dirty samba and hard house topped with that old edgy electro feel. He mixes it up with the second build up in what almost seems like it’d belong to a trance track. If only the electro house genre would return to their roots of more raw breaks and that synergetic feel, would we all be happy campers again. This track, without a doubt, holds it’s own identity and Mr. Dahlback could not have released a better new track.

John Dahlback – Get Wild (Original Mix)

John Dahlback, the swedish house music producer, has brought another treat to the table with his latest track, “Get Wild” off of LBL’s Mix Mash Records. John Dahlback’s signature club sound is all over this track through the layers of bouncy syncopated synth leads, chopped up vocal samples, and a big bass drum beat. Then the repetition of the chorus drops into a relaxing synth oriented bridge that builds the energy back up to end the song with a bang.

John Dahlback – Panic / What’s Up Now

Just after his “Sing That” release last week, John Dahlback is back with a two track package for your all off of Chris Lake’s Rising Music label. The first track, “Panic”, is quite the epic electro house banger, with a long synth led breakdown that leads you into a crazy drop that will get any crowd grown. “What’s Up Now” has a little different feel to it, sounding simliar to “Zeus”, yet still unique by keeping the energy high. Be sure to give these two a listen and grab themon Beatport below!

John Dahlback – Sing That (Original Club Mix)

The ever so versatile John Dahlback is limitless when it comes to the range of his productions. “Life” and “Zeus”, two of his recent tracks range from progressive house to big room electro, and now with “Sing That”, John Dahlback shows that he is a tech house producer at heart. This tune is custom tailored to the fittings of Toolroom Records, so you know its got those deep grooves and funky bass lines. With its choppy vocals and underground synths, “Sing That” will definitely get the crowd movin’. This dance floor banger is house music at its finest proving why Toolroom has been arguably the best record label in house music.
