Jaytech – Multiverse (The Remixes)

Having previously released an original mix and album under the name ‘Multiverse’, today Jaytech has delivered a club mix to the track accompanied by a couple remixes by fellow Anjunabeats family members, Audien and Mimax. Each remix features some classic Anjuna euphoria but includes some unique sounds and varying delivery. At 130 bpm, Mimax’s track runs a little quicker than both Audien’s remix and the original, but each progress beautifully through around seven to eight minutes.

Anjunabeats veteran Jaytech has released his highly anticipated album Multiverse. Considering Jaytech’s resume, the man behind Anjunadeep 2 and 3 along with countless amazing productions and consistently amazing podcasts, I had very high expectations for this album and it completely exceeded all of them. The entire album is very unique, yet club focused. With some groovy tracks as well as some darker tunes this album will keep you wanting more through the whole thing. Angelenos don’t miss out on a special night with Anjunabeats for the second installment of Awakening Fridays. Come join Jaytech, Norin & Rad, and Audien for what is expected to be another sold-out show at Exchange right in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Last week Insomniac premiered Awakening Fridays which featured the energetic and uplifting performances of  Tritonal alongside Richard Durrand, Leon Bolier, and Kristina Sky. If you need any extra convincing, take a look at what Tritonal had to say about last week’s event, “Hold Hell! Hands down – BEST GIG IN LA EVER!! OMG!! Sold the Fuck Out, Wall to wall insanity!! Guys, that was like a mini EDC tonight…speechless. #TritoniansAreOnFire!” (via Tritonal’s Facebook page), and Dave Reed, one half of Tritonal, had something to say about the spectacular night as well:

Interview: Jody Wisternoff

Much is left to be said about this man as he is better known as half of the British progressive house duo, Way Out West. Along side Nick Warren, the two rose to fame in the early 90s with the success of their chart topping hit “The Gift.” Since then Way Out West has released four studio albums and much of their music has been featured in prime-time television hits such as Grey’s Anatomy and The O.C. However let’s not distract your attention from our feature guest, I now shine the spotlight on Jody Wisternoff, an OG in the electronic dance music scene. It all began in 1986 when at the age of 13, Jody reached the finals of the DMC World DJ Championship and subsequently formed Tru Funk Posse with his brother Sam. Now with the success of Way Out West, Jody has gone back and forth between his collaborative efforts and solo work producing white label tracks and tracks on progressive label Anjunadeep. Just last month he released his debut solo album Trails We Blaze showing us that long-time producer/DJ is just now getting things going and it doesn’t look like he’s stopping anytime soon. Check out the interview after the jump!

Electric Daisy Carnival 2012 Las Vegas: Official Recap

Simply put, this weekend was UNREAL. It began Thursday morning with a five-hour excursion from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, stopping only once for our precious In-N-Out. After finally touching down at our suite at the Mandalay Bay, we made it down the strip to the Hardrock Hotel to meet up with the rest of the Techi Team. What then ensued could only be described as a night of complete debauchery, leading into the next morning ready to head back to Mandalay Bay, where our good friends Gregory Sills and Peter Sims, together known as Fista Cuffs, played the topless pool party. Now that the darkness was approaching, it was time to call the limo and make our way to the main event – the one and only Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas. Continue on for a day by day recap of everything that went down at the Motorspeedway on this legendary weekend…

EDC Las Vegas – Group Therapy Stage Schedule

EDC is finally upon us in Las Vegas, and I’m sure everyone is juggling schedules on what stages and what sets they want to attend. Well folks, I will say that today is the day where staying at the Group Therapy Stage most of the day is quite acceptable if you want to dance to the best trance out there. Above & Beyond alongside their whole Anjunabeats/Anjunadeep crew will be throwing it down all night with an insane lineup for EDC goers.. The schedule is as listed above, and I suggest to attend any of those sets because each will be breathtaking and nothing but amazing.
