Showtek and Noisecontrollers – Get Loose (Tiesto Remix)

tiestoTiesto has masterfully remixed yet another track into what I consider to be superior to it’s original. His take on “Get Loose” by Showtek and Noisecontrollers warps their initial production into something far more housey and danceable. Tiesto has greatly slowed down the track, and the lesser amount of BPMs allows for house dominance in the song as opposed to the original hardstyle pace. “Get Loose” features classic Tiesto sounds, and brings back memories of hearing “Maximal Crazy” for the first time. His remix here features similar sounds, with that same heavy back bassline, funky fun synths, and siren like sounds. This take on “Get Loose” from the epic Tiesto in one word: HUGE. Take a listen for yourself, this song will be blowing up DJ sets all summer.

Kaskade – It’s You It’s Me Redux Set [Free Download]

The set was initially three hours, but was edited down to the best 100 minutes and offered as a free download. The set features Redux version tracks from his Fire and Ice album, along with some older releases such as the classic “4 am.” This set features the best of Kaskade, and only makes listeners want more of the Californian production love. Any time I see a release from Bedrock, I know it’s going to be a good listen for my ears thanks to label boss John Digweed. They really hit a home run with this new one from techno legend Dave Angel, titled “Harlequin”. With over 30 years of production experience, Dave really shows that he can get a crowd moving with this groove. “Harlequin” has a very summery vibe to it with the deep chords that are heard throughout the track, keeping it fresh with a funky tech house vibe that you can’t get enough of. Give this one a listen and enjoy!

Axwell – Center of the Universe (Remode Version) [Preview]

Ultra Records was kind enough to share a radio rip of Axwell’s new track “Center of the Universe” off Pete Tong’s show. Eyes were on the now solo act to see how he would debut his new music, and while there have been a lot of negative comments regarding the rip, it’s nice to see the producer/dj go back to his house roots. Swedish House Mafia released similar tracks and never had a creative breakthrough according to many, yet this track shows potential in Axwell and his upcoming years in the business. Overall, a job well done. The vocals go nicely with the piano beat, and there is no need for a loud lead synth overpowering the rest of the track because of the balance between sounds. There’s no release date yet, but check out the stream above! Enjoy!

Insan3Lik3 is quickly becoming one of my favorite producers, and the kid just happens to be a prodigy. With another release off Monstercat, the Swiss up and comer has yet another banger under his belt. However, this time, he added a little more funk to the beat. The Nu-Disco jam, “Rescue Me,” features an old school sounding drum beat with poignant synths straight from the ’80s. Regardless, the track is perfect for the upcoming Summer season. Inpetto – Girls and Boys (Radio Edit)

Inpetto has made magic again, and this time the track is “Girls and Boys.” The brothers have been in the game for quite a while and receive praise from all artists and fans for staying true to their style, and not divulging into the commercial hype. Multiple artists, such as Axwell, Sander Van Doorn, and Above & Beyond have been quoted applauding Inpetto for their production skills, and their ability to create power and energy with beautiful and moving melodies. The same can be said about their new release off Doorn Records. The track encompasses the progressive sound the brothers have perfected, with big room synths and a killer beat. After just releasing their album Free the Universe less than a month ago, Major Lazer is back at it with a remix of  Dada’s Life “Boing Clash Boom.” The track begins with morphed vocals from the original with a clap build up only to lead to a trap style drop. Highlighting a ping pong lead, with an array of percussion that is subtle and not, this track will definitely be a winner. I love trap music, and Brillz is one of my favorite producers in the genre. He has collaborated with the highly recognizable Z Trip for this ridiculous remix of Jay Z’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulder”, and I mean ridiculous in the best way possible. Not only is this track being offered as a free download, but it was also the first track featured on the Trapnation mixtape on Jay Z’s blog ‘Life + Times’. Wobble Wednesday: Knife Party – LRAD (The Trap Remixes) [Free Download]

lrad - techiHere we have something a bit more special than normal on this fine Wobble Wednesday: a compilation of three of the freshest trap remixes of Knife Party’s newest rager, “LRAD.” We couldn’t decide which was our favorite so we wanted you guys to decide for us! First we have Boombox Cartel’s “WTF Is Festival Trap Remix” that absolutely kills it with the crazy syncopated tribal rhythms off of his too hot to trot festival trap beats. If this remix doesn’t get you hyped and filled with energy then I don’t know what will. Next, we have CRNKN’s “FESTIE RMX” which turns the lights down a bit with more space for bass rather then trap induced high hats or snare drum patterns. Finally but definitely not least, we have Candyland’s “OG Remix” which is for sure a panty dropper with it’s fat bass drops playing off of the tribal drums beats of the original. All in all, each remix brings something completely different to the table, but each is incredibly good in it’s own way and for the purpose of which each artist saw fit.
