Krewella – Alive (Hardwell Remix)

hardwell - techi

The Chicago-based trio, Krewella, has been making quite an impact on the dance world this year with their unique blend of gorgeous vocals courtesy of Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf with the Rainman’s dubstep, electro house, and drum n’ bass productions. Their single, “Alive,” has hit the top of Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Chart and Hardwell, the #6 DJ in the world, wanted to keep the momentum of the song alive with his own rendition of the hit. Just the fact that Krewella is catching the attention of heavy hitters such as Hardwell speaks wonders for their quickly rising career over the past year. The remix features Jahan and Yasmine’s easily distinguishable vocals and lyrics, but the familiar song quickly takes a turn towards the signature dutch sound that brought Hardwell to prominence. Euphoric synthesizer chords, stabbing Hardwell synth leads, and a fat bass beat accompany the massive build-up which takes the energy of this song to a new level. Fans of both Hardwell and Krewella will absolutely lose it when they listen to this song as it takes the best from both artists and mashes them both together into a soon to be huge festival banger. If you don’t believe me, then take a listen for yourself and let us know what you guys think. Enjoy!

Hardwell Foreshadows Collaboration With Knife Party

hardwell

Within the dance music world, collaborations are by no means scarce. With modern day technology expanding the internet, social media, and quick travel, we’re blessed to have so many artists in today’s generation of music join forces in order to create a piece of art bearing the influential quantities of more than just one unique party. Just recently, however, young superstar Hardwell posted a picture of himself to Facebook with the two bass legends known as Knife Party with the caption, “Knife Party and I – guess what’s coming up?”. Should we be surprised that these artists have joined forces? If you take a look at their musical past, perhaps. However, if you study the direction in which dance music is headed, I believe we should not. Wolfgang Gartner recently stated “dance music right now is just this mashup of every single subgenre possible”. So, what should we expect? Considering Knife Party breathes bass music, and Hardwell has been putting on quite the show lately with heavy electro house on his beloved record label, Revealed Recordings, it’s safe to say we’ll be given a heavily supported, chart climbing monster of music. Hopefully the track will be finished before the full swing of festival season, so stay tuned for any updates. We hope you all had a great weekend!

Dyro – Leprechauns & Unicorns (Original Mix)

7278599

Dyro’s most recent release on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings, “Leprechauns & Unicorns, gives off a slightly different sound than were used to hearing. His progressive synth-work remains top notch, but the track has a very dark and ominous feel to it. As heavy hitting as it gets, this track is sure to bounce of the walls of any club and light up festivals throughout the summer. Go ahead and take a listen below because this track is heavy.

Review: Hardwell’s World Tour Kick-Off

_Z6A3242b

Robbert van de Corput is the not-so-well-known name of one of the top six DJ’s in the world. Hardwell just started of his first world tour in a completely sold out Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. A combination of all of the lasers, fire and astronauts walking around made it the perfect show. Hardwell’s uplifting music takes you with him on his mystical journey through space. Despite his young age, you can’t consider him as an upcoming DJ/Producer anymore; his 6th place in the rankings of DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s solidified that. Such showmanship and perseverance created a great show with ALDA Events. You can read more about it after the jump! [Read more...]

Laidback Luke & Hardwell – Dynamo (Original Mix)

Dynamo

This one was destined to be an anthem right from the start; Laidback Luke and Hardwell’s latest hit “Dynamo” was released off of Luke’s Mixmash Records today and boasts a big house sound that is sure to get much play during festival season.  The adrenaline-inducing synths, intense drops, and pounding, deep bass make this one a must listen for any electro or Dutch house fan. It’s a collaboration that just works well, and hopefully these two will continue working together on productions; they definitely haven’t seen the last of each other, with both performing at festivals such as Electric Zoo over the summer. Check it out below and grab the full release on Beatport!

Dannic – Viper (Original Mix)

viper

Hardwell has been hyping up this track for months and the crowd went absolutely insane after he previewed it at Ultra this year. “Viper” is another dance floor anthem from Dannic, who is quickly become a household name in the electro and progressive house scene. With massive support from Hardwell, he and Dyro both been growing tremendously in popularity. This track features huge synth leads and an energetic buildup, all of which are tied in together with an dazzling array of percussion. There will be much more to come from this young superstar, and you’ll be sure to hear this banger throughout this year’s festival circuit.

Hardwell feat. Amba Shepherd – Apollo (Lucky Date Remix) [Preview]

artworks-000043626420-o0xle2-original

Hardwell’s hit “Apollo” has just gotten the Lucky Date makeover and it’s definitely a keeper. Although the beginning sounds almost identical to the original, patience is a virtue. With a build up that you know is going to bring you to a far off land, the track drops major heat with a laser sounding synth over hard beats that can almost be mistaken for any top artist today. The track will be released tomorrow on Beatport, March 25th, off Revealed Recordings, so in the meantime enjoy this clip. Cheers!

MOX TV Online Music Video Channel

882909_10151278138307062_1580986278_o

MOX TV is a brand new music video channel that lets you get the coverage on events and artists that you want to see. MOX TV is officially being released during Ultra Music Festival and the Winter Music Conference. With so many acts and so little time to see them, MOX TV is being released just when we need it. Now none of us will need to be rushing between stages and arguing with our buddies about which artists we want to see more.

MOX TV will also be hosting the MOX Bus—a dance party on wheels, complete with an open bar and world-class DJ crews. The bus can be seen cruising through the streets of South Beach, Downtown, and more. The MOX Bus will also be hosting daily takeovers from Revealed, Dirtybird, Anjunabeats, 1605 Music Therapy, and SMOG.

Carter Laren, Co-Founder of MOX TV has said, “We’ve chosen to work with these and other artists featured on MOX because we believe they represent the future of music, and we’ve chosen to launch in Miami during Ultra and WMC because of the sheer volume of talent and unbridled fan enthusiasm you experience when you’re there. Like most people in Miami that week, we won’t be sleeping much.” What differentiates MOX from other media outlets, Laren emphasizes, is its television-style presentation. “We’re not just another a dressed-up blog. I like to say that we’re what MTV would be if they launched in 2013. And if they played music.”

This is the next big thing in coverage of the music we all love. As their motto goes, this is what music looks like. You can check out the beta @ http://mox.tv/

Following the full releases of those three gems, we have a brand new preview to Dash Berlin’s remix of Hardwell’s ‘Apollo’, which provides some beautifully stemmed vocals from Amba Shepherd. After the jump, you’ll find yourself pleased to see a plethora of sets from Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Max Graham, and Protoculture, which have been recorded live from ASOT600 in Mexico City.
