With a very clever video featuring a bunch of DJ look-a-like dogs, the Hard Summer 2013 lineup was announced this morning. This year the festival will be hosting an incredible lineup of diverse artists including Dog Blood, Duck Sauce, Flux Pavillion, Eats Everything, Duke Dumont, Knife Party, Julio Bashmore, Oliver and many more. Ed Banger Records and Dirtybird will both be bringing some extra special talent as they host their own stages at the festival. It seems that Hard really stepped up this year to bring something new and fresh to the table. The festival will take place on August 3rd & 4th at LA Historic State Park. I was lucky enough to hear this amazing track the first (and only) time I saw Tommy Trash. At HARD Day of the Dead this past November, Tommy Trash dropped “Sunrise Pandor” his personal edit of tracks produced The Aston Shuffle, himself, and Tony Romera. This banger begins with Tommy’s rework entitled “Sunrise”, which is an edit of the track “Wont Get Lost” originally by The Aston Shuffle. The song features lovely vocals from The Aston Shuffle, and Tommy’s unique electro synths that are so distinct, and are what made me fall in love with his production sound years ago. “Sunrise” builds with classic Tommy sounds, and just when you expect the original drop, “Pandor” by Tony Romera slaps you in the face with a flawlessly simple beat of pure grime. Tommy has graciously released this triple collaboration reworked by his brilliant Australian mind on his Soundcloud account as a free download. Hit the DL link through the player below. Enjoy!

James Egbert uses some extremely nice sounds in this track “Chopper” and definitely knows how to handle all that bass. He’s been quite the up and comer the past year, so I’m excited to see what he has to bring for 2013. The track is soft and soothing, yet hard and sick, and this undoubtedly takes a mastermind to create. Major props to you, James. Example. R3hab. Hard Rock Sofa. There’s just no going wrong with that mix of artists. “Perfect Replacement” was remixed by duo Hard Rock Sofa, who have had a killer year, and R3hab who is no stranger to remixing fire tracks. The remixers were able to add a nice fatter electro sound compared to the pretty simple (but great) original track. With exciting buildups, hard drops and killer sounds this is definitely a track to watch out for. Cheers!
