Known for his unique ~100 BPM and mysterious techno productions, Gesaffelstein and Brodinski are here with their latest remix of “Jacques In the Box” by Laurent Garnier. These two huge French musicians really hit the nail on this remix, creating a vibe and style of techno that no one else can perfect as much as them. Gesaffelstein – Bromance #4: Rise of Depravity

French nu-rave techno extraordinaire Gesaffelstein serves up the fourth release on the Bromance imprint he runs with Brodinski. Gesaffelstein is one of the most talked about artists of the year, and his popularity has soared immensely recently giving way to a high profile remix for Lana Del Rey.  His latest EP, Rise of Depravity does not deviate too much from his usual style, but that is definitely a GOOD thing. The first track, “Depravity”, is a peak-time club track featuring the producer’s signature menacing ravey techno sound that he is known for. The second track, “Belgium”, takes the bpm down while simultaneously ramping up the intensity and madness.

Lana Del Rey – Blue Jeans (Gesaffelstein Remix)

Gesaffelstein, the guru of dark and deep house, revamps Lana Del Rey’s ‘Blue Jeans’, which interestingly enough took me by surprise how moving the melody was. Because both of these artists fall under the sadcore and aphotic genres of music, you would think this track would be nothing but a depressing drag. However, in this case, two negatives do make a positive. Already with the title being ‘Blue Jeans’, it almost reminds me of Ladytron’s style – and for that flavor to be able to seep out, shows how successfully Gesaffelstein remixed this track.

Gesaffelstein – Viol (Brodinski Remix) [Preview]

Gesaffelstein, electro producer from France, is amongst one of the most intriguing DJs to enter the industry yet. Apart of Turbo Records, he has remixed numerous classic tracks such as ‘ZZT’, ‘Cassius’, and ‘Sei A’. He definitely stirs up conspiracy with his more old school and unique dark and deep electro basslines. This remix of ‘Viol’ couldn’t have been done by any other better complementing artist other than Brodinski. With his similar flavor in music, his spin only adds to this already great track. This is that track you’ll want to drop at the next party if you want to stand out from everyone else.
