With weekend one already passed and weekend two sold out it was looking pretty grim for anyone who wanted to attend the festival who wasn’t lucky enough to get a ticket in time. Lucky for all of you Ultra has just announced that they will be releasing a very limited amount of GA tickets tomorrow at 1PM. Be sure to be ready right at 1PM on ultramusicfestival.com because these are sure to be gone in minutes.
American producer Andrew Chen, internationally recognized as Shogun, continues to amaze his thousands of followers with this dual release of his two original mixes, ‘Drop’ and ‘Supernova’. ‘Drop’ features a massive build which eventually drops into an amazingly deep, grinding riff which shows some sincere influence from modern day electro house. ‘Supernova’ on the other hand stays with more of an old school, euphoric trance feel as it progresses through a quick seven minutes. Diversity has and will always exhibit the many skills of a talented producer, so it is no surprise to learn that Chen was the first Asian producer to be signed to Armada. After much success of the first 100 episodes of their previous radio show, Air Up There, Tritonal has changed their game a bit with their new radio show titled, Tritonia. Will much change? The legendary Steve Angello has just announced that he has partnered up with MiO, the energy liquid water enhancer, and you can unlock a free exclusive Steve Angello track. To get the unreleased track the fans have to go to MiOnights.com and upload photos of them “capturing the night” on instagram. Once enough photos have been shared the exclusive track will be released. Ralph Kyau and Steven Moebius Albert, together known as the German trance duo, Kyau & Albert, have been an essential aspect to the expansion of modern day dance music since the founding of their record label, Euphonic Records, in 1997. Just yesterday, however, we’re blessed with the brand new release of their original mix, ‘Glühwürmchen’, on the ever so respected Anjunabeats record label. The uplifting track brings in a plethora of eccentric sounds and carries forward with a playfully light progression. The best thing about a remix EP is being able to listen to one of your favorite songs being played five different ways. EDX returns with another massive hit off of the independent UK label Toolroom Records. A nice break from the bangers that we’ve accustomed to hearing in preparation for festival season, EDX hits us with a chill, progressive house track with “Blessed.” Prepare to be washed over with beautiful harmonies, gorgeous melodies, and feel good summer vibes as this song will definitely get your feet moving, your head bobbing, and will put a smile on your face. EDX as a producer is incredibly talented and time after time again we have seen him take dance music to new levels which is always refreshing. Well fans, the first weekend of Ultra Music Festival in Miami has come to a close and wow was it an amazing one. I sure hope some of you were either there for the amazing experience or streaming in from your computer via Ultra’s YouTube channel UMFTV. With some of the world’s biggest DJs playing sets throughout the day at different times and stages, it was hard to catch everyone you wanted to see as most festivals go. The wonderful thing about our post here is we have a chance for you to relive the experience through you ears, with some of our favorites from the first weekend. We apologize that some of these aren’t the full sets, but we will update them throughout the week once we get our hands on any full recordings as they arise.
