Flashback Friday: Arty & Misha Kitone – Inside Of Me (Original Mix)

Today’s Flashback Friday tune is a track that I always listen back to, keeping it on all of my music listening devices because it is that good every time I hit play. Around the beginning of 2009 is right when I started to get into melodic progressive house, which is when this tune was released, and the young producer by the name of Arty caught my ear. His older production style when he was ~17 years old was exactly what I wanted to hear from progressive house and it is displayed beautifully in this track here. “Inside Of Me” is a simple, captivating song that takes control of you with the symphonic and keyboard melodies throughout. It’s amazing to think where Arty was in his career when he produced this gem and look at where he is now – a complete breakthrough artist that found success and has changed his production style drastically. Anyway, enjoy your Flashback Friday and have a great weekend!

Flashback Friday: Basshunter – Russia Privjet (Original Mix)

With over a decade of experience, six complete albums, and a European Border Breakers Award (EBBA), it’s safe to say Basshunter is recognized globally as a world renowned DJ/producer. It’s hard to say what anyones favorite Basshunter song is, because we’ve grown to love and appreciate the diverse range of songs he has constructed over the years. For most, “Boten Anna” and “Now Your Gone” are the songs of choice and recognized as the most famous Basshunter songs. However, I personally can’t hear the name Basshunter without thinking of the legendary line, “Russia, throw your hands up in the air”! Which is why I chose his 2006 classic off of his LOL <(^^,)> album, “Russia Privjet” as the first Flashback Friday song of 2013. For those who haven’t heard this customary anthem, prepare for this mythical Swedish hardstyle to succumb and overtake your speakers. For those who are familiar, you are welcome for the refresher and we hope this song brings back some great memories for you like it does for us. Have a great weekend and stay safe Techi Fans!

Flashback Friday: Big Boi – Shutterbug (Jack Beats Remix)

For Flashback Friday today, I woke up feeling like getting down to some Jack Beats. One of my all time favorites to this day is their “Shutterbug” Remix by Big Boi that was never officially released. This is the kind of remix that can convert a hip-hop head to the EDM world. Play this song for them and they’ll want to get on the scene! Happy Flashback!

Originally released in Germany on ATC’s debut album, Planet Pop, this classic from the year 2,000 provides a univerally recognized melody accompanied by sampled vocals from russian pop track, ‘Pesenka’, by Ruki Vverh. The track peaked at #1 on the top 40 charts and still remains an internationally respected melody, despite it’s release over 12 years ago.

Flashback Friday: Faithless – Insomnia

Originally released in November of 1995, ‘Insomnia’, by the English dance music group, Faithless, instantly became one of the most influential and groundbreaking dance singles of all time. Not only did the track peak at #1 in the UK Dance Charts of 1996, but it also reached #48 upon it’s re-release nine years later in 2005, proving its impact on the dance music community. 17 years later, artists still attempt to remix and edit the track, but the original remains too perfect to top. Feel free to stream the track below, or purchase the flawlessly mastered mix on iTunes in order to add it to your library.

Flashback Friday: Switch – A Bit Patchy (Eric Prydz Remix)

It seems as though everything Eric Prydz touches turns to gold, and his twist on Switch’s ‘A Bit Patchy’ poses as no derivation from the claim. After its release four years ago, the remix is still one of Prydz’s most well known songs. Recently, Prydz has released his latest album, Pryda, which he had been working on for eight years. One can listen to the album HERE.
