Wobble Wednesday: Fista Cuffs – Dark Arts EP [Free Download]

Gregory (GT) Sills, also known as the founder of Techibeats Records and half of the bass driven moombahcore duo, Fista Cuffs, wanted to personally wish you a Happy Holidays. GT expressed his holiday greetings in the form of an intricately constructed EP available for free download entitled, The Dark Arts. This three song bass-filled masterpiece showcases the hit single, “Dark Arts” and also contains a VIP edit of the track. My favorite part of the EP is the Christmas spirited rendition of Mykola Leontovych’s “Carol of the Bells”, cleverly entitled “Carol of the Bass”. The modern day drumstep reenactment created by Fista Cuffs contains a clean drum pattern that plays off of this customary jingle and bells leading into a gritty drop that should be played only on the highest quality subwoofers. Truly a job well done by the Fista Cuffs boys, GT & Peter Sims, and make sure to catch their set in the Techibeats Tent at Snow Globe Music Festival. Free download available below, Happy Chrismahanakwanzika!

Skrillex ft. Damian Marley – Make It Bun Dem OFFICIAL REMIX CONTEST

For most likely what’s going to be the biggest remix contest in history to date, Skrillex and Reggae Legend Damian Marley, have released the remix stems for “Make It Bun Dem,” their huge Dubstep/Reggae hit with Marley providing vocals and Skrillex utilizing his bass driven production skill. The contest, which in only one day has drawn in over 100 remixes for a prize of an OWSLA signing and official remix release, promises to be even more epic in scale than Zedd’s record breaking remix contest for “Spectrum,” which drew in over 2500 remixes and was won by Shreddie Mercury! As the list begins to pile up, Sonny Moore and the OWSLA crew are going to have their work cut out for them as there are already some cutting edge remixes with views in the thousands uploaded to the contest page.

One of the highest ranking remixes is Fista Cuffs Moombahcore remix that gained over 1400 views in less than a day and is neck and neck for second place for most plays in the contest. Fista Cuffs are known for their heavy and dark take on Moombahton and it shows through in their remix that is already gaining by far the most positive feedback. With all the current focus on Moombahton and mid tempo music within the Bass community, Fista Cuffs is starting to become a contest favorite in what will soon be the biggest remix contest in the history of EDM.

PRODUCERS: HAVE AT IT!

Shreddie Mercury – Mount Cleverest (Fista Cuffs Drumstep Remix)

Nothing screams ’high energy’ like a drumstep remix, and Fista Cuffs’ new take on Shreddie Mercury’s ‘Mount Cleverest’ gives us just that spin. Not only is the track and original artist’s name down right clever itself, but the melody to this epic remix is as well. This track is also Fista Cuffs’ entry into an official remix competition, so all plays, likes, and shares are much appreciated. Please share the track with friends and N-Joy.
