I Am Benga: Red Bull Documentary

Just weeks after we watched Red Bull Stratos, in which Felix Baumgartner performed a world breaking supersonic free fall from space, the documentary specialists at Red Bull have announced their newest project. Unlike their normal fast paced action packed footage, Red Bull will be capturing a thrill seeking adventure of it’s own kind, as they plan to get inside the mind of the bass driven legend, Benga. This six part series will follow and expose Benga’s massive year of 2012, in which he started his own record label (Benga Beats), formed his own live show on BBC Radio 1, and the year where he “removed himself from the dubstep genre”. Check the trailer out for yourself and prepare for an inside access of one of the most talented producers in the world.

This is what Benga has to say about the series himself:

“I’m incredibly excited about the series. I can’t wait to show everyone the amazing things I’ve been part of! There’s a great buzz around the show and everyone will get to see what’s next for me!”

Up and Comer: Felix Leiter

Felix Leiter might be a new name to many of you, but to those of you who know Felix, you will agree that he is a strong force in the Newcastle (UK) EDM scene. He started djing before he could even enter a nightclub and now maintains residency at Digital, voted ’Best Large British Club’ and ’11th Best Club In The World’ by none other than DJ Mag. He has only a few years of producing under his belt but he has been cranking out plenty of bangers and has gained support from plenty of big names in the industry such as Tiesto, Laidback Luke, and Fedde Le Grand. Our representative, Cameron Windsor, recently had the opportunity to meet up with Felix and ask him some questions. [Read more...]

Felix Leiter – Monkey Tennis (Original Mix)

Felix Leiter is back with a crazy electro house track titled ‘Monkey Tennis’. This track has been generating a lot of buzz, with support from the likes of Dada Life, Tommy Trash, Denzal Park and many more. This track is very unique with a tribal feeling into quickly building into a frenzied electro drop. From the first listen of this track it is easy to tell why it has gained the support it has.

Felix Cartal – Domo (Pierce Fulton Remix)

Pierce Fulton has been on fire lately. His most recent remix of Chuckie’s “What Happens In Vegas” along with his release “Who Wants Spaghetti?” truly showcased the young producers talent. Pierce is back for more with his latest remix of “Domo,” which is one of my favorite Pierce Fulton remixes so far. Although the composition of the track isn’t much different than the original, Pierce manages to add an enormous amount of energy and some pumping bass, giving the track a whole new feel. The track was released on iTunes along with another remix by Etienne de Crécy, so make sure to check that out, too. Turn your speakers up and enjoy!
