Simply put, this weekend was UNREAL. It began Thursday morning with a five-hour excursion from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, stopping only once for our precious In-N-Out. After finally touching down at our suite at the Mandalay Bay, we made it down the strip to the Hardrock Hotel to meet up with the rest of the Techi Team. What then ensued could only be described as a night of complete debauchery, leading into the next morning ready to head back to Mandalay Bay, where our good friends Gregory Sills and Peter Sims, together known as Fista Cuffs, played the topless pool party. Now that the darkness was approaching, it was time to call the limo and make our way to the main event – the one and only Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas. Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas Phase One – Initial Lineup Announced

Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the largest music festivals to ever grace this planet. Each year the number of artists, theatrics, and fans grow larger and larger as EDM cements itself in US popculture. This year is sure to hold up to the festivals’ already outstanding standards as Insomniac has revealed an initial lineup of artists set to perform. Those already confirmed include: Tiesto, Afrojack, Avicii, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Kaskade, Knife Party, Porter Robinson, Above & Beyond, Calvin Harris, Bassnectar, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Chase & Status, David Guetta, Erick Morillo, Richie Hawtin, and Flux Pavillion. All of these artists encompass all that is already big and growing in the EDM community; holding true to a blend of superstars and up and comers. These names only represent a mere fraction of those who will eventually perform as Insomniac has announced that over 100 acts will be attending Las Vegas for the weekend. As previously stated, the overall number of fans in the crowd over the three day span is set to be record-breaking with projections of over 300,000 attendees. The festival runs from June 8 – June 10 at the Las Vegas Motorspeedway and tickets are still available at Insomniac’s website here.
