Julian Jordan – Ramcar (Original Mix)

Julian Jordan’s track “Ramcar” has been getting attention and support by all top tier DJs and producers. The track is an electro house jam with a nice melody that carries throughout. Oh, and don’t forget the DJ/producer is only 16 years old! He recently collaborated with Sander Van Doorn and Martin Garrix, so it’s safe to say he’ll be around for a while. With already a fine tuned production skill set, it will be interesting to see the progress the prodigy makes throughout his career. Check out the Spinnin’ Records release and snag it off Beatport today!

Clockwork & Felix Cartal feat. Madame Buttons – The Fire (Original Mix)

the fireTwo of my favorite producers of all time have finally come together for a collaboration! Along with Madame Buttons on the vocals, Clockwork and Felix Cartal lend their amazing electro house skills to create “The Fire”, out now through Dim Mak Records. The track begins with a deep beat, and then adds in a low bassline with fun synths. Madame Buttons comes in shortly after, signing a beautiful song to compliment the upbeat dance feel. Then in the classic style of gnarly electro, her voice fades as the track builds and breaks into a killer drop that put a huge smile on my face. Collaborations are great for the fact that two or more producers can showcase their talents in one vessel, however I think that many times one producer’s sound dominates the creation. “The Fire” is unique for the opposite reason; Clockwork and Felix Cartal have seamlessly melded their talents into one, cohesive sound that balances their musical personalities. Listen for yourself, you do NOT want to be left out of “The Fire”.

Mixing the throbbing bassline of Tiesto & Allure’s ‘Pair of Dice’ and the melodic vocals of ‘This is What It Feels Like’, Armin van Buuren’s recent collaboration with male vocalist, Trevor Guthrie, may just be the most brilliant mashup we have yet to hear from pancake enthusiasts, Project 46. Recently releasing multiple free downloads as appreciation for the build of their Facebook page, we’re excited to see what 2013 has in store for these euphoric house masterminds.

Jewelz and Scott Sparks – Hot Rod / White Sun (Original Mixes)

hot rod

After the smash hit “Toxic Rush” from the extraordinary pair Jewelz and Scott Sparks, we can only expect great productions from any collaboration the two work on. Here from Jewelz and Scott Sparks we have not one, but two amazing electro tracks, “Hot Rod” and “White Sun”. This perfect electro team have put their production skills to work yet again to create these killers songs, out today through Flamingo Recordings. The tracks have a similar feel to their sounds, however are extraordinarily different in content. “Hot Rod” is darker, incorporating a bass heavy back beat dominant in the intro. “White Sun” is funkier and more upbeat, with a melody present from the beginning of the track. I have a good feeling both of these tracks will be blowing up in the near future within many DJ’s festival sets. Listen below and let us know which track you prefer from these consistently amazing collaborators!

Paul Oakenfold – Southern Sun (Moe Aly Remix)

7241936

“Southern Sun” has gotten the Moe Aly makeover, and it’s a winner, ladies and gentleman. The track features the angelic vocals from the original, and naturally it’s always hard to outdo the original, especially when it’s Oakenfold. But it seems that is exactly what Moe has done. Featuring some amazing drum sounds and a killer deep electro riff, this track makes for a perfect electro house release. Check out the stream below and let us know what you think! Enjoy!

Realboy – Cable Basics EP

7247385

Realboy, the robotic funk master, has come to us with his most recent release, fresh off the press of Temple Music Group. Austen Jacobsen electrifies our ears with a work worthy of being swooned over, titled Cable Basics —— a multi-genred four track EP. Although this is his first official release, it is quite promising; Cable Basics features some of Realboy’s most unique sounding tunes to date. Half of the songs, one of which includes live instrumentation and vocals, were recorded in merely a couple of days, giving a sample of Realboy’s polished finesse. Check out the whole EP for a trip into Realboy’s surreal tunage.

Timo Maas – Lifer (Album)

LiferWith the influx of new talent in the electronic music scene, it’s always nice to see one of the veterans still hustling and holding his own. Timo Maas is certainly one of the more experienced members in the scene – starting off his DJ career in the 90s and earning a significant amount of mainstream recognition in the early 2000s – and you can hear it on Lifer with his polished house sounds and album-oriented production approach. There’s plenty of diverse sounds on the album; from the intense and progressive “Train In My Kitchen” to the intimate and moody “Articulation”, Lifer covers plenty of ground and holds many surprises. Check out our selection of tracks below and grab the full 11-track album off of Beatport!
