Today Calvin Harris released 5 remixes of his house anthem “We’ll Be Coming Back,” featuring vocals by the incredibly talented Example (Of which I first thought was Calvin Harris. Whoops!). What caught my eye was that two of the remixes are R3hab’s: one specifically for his set at EDC NY and one for his set at EDC Las Vegas. The fact that R3hab would make two completely different remixes of the same song for the same festival, shows just how much thought and effort he puts into every set to make each one completely unique; something to be valued in an age of the same ol’ Paris Hilton-esque pre-recorded sets. The NY remix features R3hab’s signature “chainsaw” sound in the drop while the Las Vegas remix goes along more with the original mix; however, the new synth build up, beats, and an additional layer under the original lead in the chorus completely revamp the song. In addition, Michael Woods, Jacob Plant, and Killsonik all put their own style on “We’ll Be Coming Back,” making a total of 5 great and different songs out of one breathtaking anthem. Take a listen below and keep an eye out for the official release on itunes which is expected to drop at the end of July!
