Destroying Beatport’s drum & bass, dubstep, and electro house charts this week, we have ShockOne’s viciously diverse new album dubbed, Universus, on Viper Recordings. Featuring his high tempo, signature sounds and a small remedy of bass heavy collaborations, we’re excited to see this Australian producer’s potential fully blossom with a sever influx of harmonic melodies and cosmic vocal samples. Collaborators within the album include Phetstsa, Reija Lee, Metrik, Kyza, and Sam Nafie. I’d say this is an extremely special mix from one of San Fran’s most beloved DJs, Justin Martin. In this mix, the Dirty Bird star dives into his roots and first musical love with a deep and fast paced variety of drum and bass. He has not done something like this for well over a decade. Mat Zo – DnB Mix of Love

Amped on his chart topping, recent collaboration with Porter Robison titled, ‘Easy’, it’s fair to say that British prodigy, Mat Zo, is “on one”. Just this weekend he has given us a reminder as to why he is one of the most diverse in the game with this two hour mix of drum and bass mayhem, which he calls his ‘DnB Mix of Love’. Straying from his progressive house and trance roots, it’s always a great surprise to have some d&b thrown into the equation. N-Joy.

Wobble Wednesday: Camo and Krooked – Hot Pursuit (PrototypeRaptor Bootleg Remix) [Free Download]

Johnathan Paulson, better known as PrototypeRaptor, has recently released his remix of Camo and Krooked’s “Hot Pursuit” for FREE on his Soundcloud. This track goes in a completely opposite direction than what the predominantly electro artist is accustomed to, adopting a high-intensity drumstep sound. The ability of PrototypeRaptor to produce such a different track truly shows his production skill and versatility. Make sure to pick up a copy and enjoy!

Wobble Wednesday: Zero Method – Command Four (Original Mix)

Zero Method releases another high energy array of breakbeats in “Command Four”, currently topping the Drum & Bass Beatport charts on his Cold War EP. At a 175 bpm, “Command Four” focuses mainly on the drum processing and the gritty, dirty bass lines. Zero Method, from Hungary, founded his online radio station, mainly targeting an audience thirsty for breakbeats that relied on less complex synth structures and automation and worked more with solely the drums and the bass parts as opposed to more melodic riffs.
