Dirty South – Speed Of Life (Album)

Speed-Of-Life1

The legendary Australian producer Dirty South has just released his debut album ‘Speed Of Life’ exclusively on iTunes. With a heavy catalog of amazing productions over the years he has finally achieved the difficult task of completing an album. ‘Speed Of Life’ is a nine track album, each having its own unique sound that come together to paint a perfect picture of the wide range of Dirty South’s production styles and influences. Some tracks have a very big room, emotional and uplifting feel like ‘Super Sounds’, while ‘Sunset’ is a beautiful vocal track that shows his ability to create tracks that are not strictly club focused. ‘Speed Of Life’ is an excellent achievement for Dirty South and he created a truly incredible album. Enjoy!

Northend & Stereotronique – Reverence (Original Mix)

One of my personal favorite up and comers, Stereotronique, has teamed up with Northend to bring this massive, big room banger. “‘Reverence’ combines the signature synth cord progressions of Northend with the raw grit of Stereotronique’s electro bass line formula.” The track also features the subtle yet powerful vocals of Stereotronique’s own Kevin O’Brien. Stereotronique has been known to put out some massive tunes, and has been largely underrated. The original duo, which consisted of Zack Lister and Kevin O’Brien, has since split, leaving Kevin to handle to front end and production while Zack remains active as the general manager. Be on the lookout for this track in a lot of big sets this year.

Rihanna – Diamonds (Congorock Remix)

Rihanna likes it dirty, and that’s exactly what this remix is. Congorock brings the bass with a simple riff throughout the song, but makes sure there isn’t any kind of slowing down throughout the track. The hard hitting bass mixed with Rihanna’s vocals will definitely get the crowd bumping for the dj that’s looking to get a crowd pumped. Sidney Samson – Dutchland (Original Mix)

If you have been waiting around for a high-powered track that epitomizes ‘dirty dutch’, look no further. Sidney Samson’s “Dutchland” sounds just like one of his older pieces with some new bells and whistles lacing the track along the way. If you have ever been to a Sidney Samson show, you are well aware of the high intensity that his original tracks inject into the crowd. “Dutchland” is officially up for grabs so go ahead and pick up your copy today!

R3hab & ZROQ – Skydrop

What. WHAT. WHAT!  What masterpiece did R3hab & ZROQ just create?! Looks like I’ll be heading to Vegas December 12th just to see R3hab drop this tune live. Together they make a prime duo, not letting off any bass in the build up, but still dropping a perfect bassy house lead; like a dirtier, harder Afrojack. ZROQ definitely has a golden touch to add the perfect amount of grunge to a house track, just like he did on “WTF!?” with Nicky Romero.  Unfortunately “Skydrop” doesn’t get released until December 17th from Musical Freedom, but in the mean time it is definitely in your best interest as a human being to stream this track.

Interview: Dirtyphonics

The French electro/dubstep/DnB group known as Dirtyphonics is hands down one of the freshest and most innovative groups in the EDM scene to date. Officially formed back in 2004, Dirtyphonics (composed of Charly, Thomas, Pho, and Pitchin) quickly climbed the ranks, becoming known for their massive, high-energy sound, signature tempo shifts, and reputable production quality. In addition to remixing artists such as Skrillex, Nero, and Benny Bennassi, the group has also released a flurry of chart-topping singles, such as “French Fuck,” “Vandals,” and their newest release of “DIRTY,” which is still in the Beatport Top 100 – Dubstep. Despite their undeniable reputation as chart-topping producers, Dirtyphonics are most notorious for their incredible live performance, something that must be seen to be believed. Incorporating various turntables, CDJs, MPCs, mixers, and effects processors, the group sets the golden standard for a true EDM performance. We had a chance to catch up to Dirtyphonics for an interview, read after the jump… [Read more...]
