David Guetta & Ne-Yo – Play Hard (R3hab Remix)

rehab

David Guetta can be re-crowned from the number one DJ in the world to the number one producer of pop EDM. However, there are many clever producers who have taken the works of Guetta and transformed them into more underground EDM pots of gold. Here we have “Play Hard” in the R3hab remix, which is a great example of this reproduction of pop into something harder and more appealing to the die hard electronic fans. R3hab has taken the original track and remixed it into a harder, more electro house song. “Play Hard” features a signature cut from the infamous track “Do You Think You’re Better Off Alone” by Alice DJ. The magical R3hab has taken it to a whole new level of house music. The track features some housier and more aggressive sythns. Listen to this new take on a classic 1998 track below in the R3hab remix.

David Guetta ft. Ne-Yo & Akon – Play Hard (Spencer & Hill Remix) [Preview]

artworks-000043594094-7xm790-original

Hopefully everyone knows the Alice Deejay melody by now, whether you’re old, young or don’t even like Dance music. Unfortunately while David Guetta was not able to transform the legendary tune into something spectacular in the EDM world, maybe Spencer & Hill will come up victorious. The build up leads to a 30 second preview of the track, and so far we’ve got a nifty transformation. A track that was once techno is now a funky dance beat with a lot of bass, and there are no complaints here. Take a listen to the stream below and check back for a release date! Cheers!

Daddy’s Groove – Stellar (Extended Club Mix)

Daddy’s Groove is an up-and-coming Italian trio that has been earning much recognition in the industry. They’ve remixed for top artists both inside and outside the EDM scene – from B.o.B. to Kylie Minogue to Laidback Luke – and in 2011 they even collaborated with the famous David Guetta – aiding in the production of Guetta’s Nothing But The Beat album. Daddy’s Groove has been making the move to original productions and is starting off 2013 with “Stellar”, which features a big progressive house sound, beautiful melodies, and solid club vocals. Check it out below and grab the release from Beatport!

Ludacris feat. Usher vs. David Guetta – Rest of My Life (Nicky Romero Remix) [Preview]

Nicky Romer

o continues his streak of catchy bangers with this brand new preview to his remix of Ludacris and Usher’s hip hop track, ‘Rest of My Life’. Although the original mix features some poppy production from EDM icon, David Guetta, this progressive house take on the track gives just the amount of pop and edge from Nicky’s electro house roots. Although we are left with no official release date, the mere preview will hold me over until I can hear the rest. Happy holidays!

Abash

Keep your eyes open for Rob Adans, as this French DJ has caught the attention of many big players in the EDM community. His latest track “Abash” has the support of David Guetta, Tiesto and Thomas Gold among many others, and has even been dropped live by the Swedish House Mafia. With that kind of recognition, as well as the backing of Doorn Records, you can count on hearing a lot from Rob Adans in the coming years. That’ll be a good thing for house fans though; “Abash” is an exciting production with a big house sound – just take one listen and it’ll make sense why it has won over artists like the SHM.
