Tuesday Trance Report – 109

109

Trance family around the world, welcome to the ninth edition of our beloved TTR. This week we kick off with ‘Aldo’, a beautiful original mix from Huntington Beach natives, Norin & Rad, on Above & Beyond’s ever so respected Anjunabeats record label. Next we have the extremely uplifting club mix to Dankann and Antillas’ ‘When You Love Someone’, which features the euphoric vocals of singer, Laurell. Up next we have some great synth play in Ronski Speed and Dennis Sheperd’s new original, ‘Karoshi’, as well as some great progression in Protoculture’s ‘Laguna’. Last but not least, we have ‘Sky High’, a great uplifting track from Vintage & Morelli.

Following our favorite releases of the week, we’ve included each set from A State of Trance 600 in Beirut, Lebanon which took place just a few days ago on March 9. However, one performance stood out to us, the rest of the world, and Armin van Buuren himself as he referred to it as simply “underestimated”. Marlo Hoogstraten, better known as MarLo, took the bull by the horns this past Saturday and delivered an unbelievable, high energy set. MarLo, who flew all the way from Australia, is recently buzzing off his recent hit ‘Boom’ on the A State of Trance 2013 compilation album, which many have dubbed the unofficial anthem to ASOT 600. For those of you unfamiliar with MarLo, we have featured him in the background image above. That said, enjoy the tunes below, and tweet us @Techibeats with your favorites of this week. Until next time, party safe.

Tuesday Trance Report – 107

This week on the Tuesday Trance Report, we’re featuring only a few select tracks that have caught the eye of our entire staff. The first is Andrew Rayel’s remix to Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz’s ‘The Expedition’, which has been dubbed the respected anthem to ASOT600. Following Rayel we have BT’s radio edit to his brand new track ‘Skylarking’, and ‘Are You Ready’, a phenomenal original mix brought to Beatport by none other than DSCO on his latest EP, Year of the Snake, on Techibeats Records. Following the full releases of those three gems, we have a brand new preview to Dash Berlin’s remix of Hardwell’s ‘Apollo’, which provides some beautifully stemmed vocals from Amba Shepherd. After the jump, you’ll find yourself pleased to see a plethora of sets from Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Max Graham, and Protoculture, which have been recorded live from ASOT600 in Mexico City. Enjoy the tunes, and we’ll see you next week!

Dash Berlin vs. Coldplay – Ticking Clocks (Dash Berlin’s Essential ‘Warmplay’ Rework) [Free Download]

Reworking any Coldplay song is no simple task since the majority of them are near perfect the way they are. Thus, it takes an incredibly talented and creative producer such as Dash Berlin to turn a song like “Clocks” into a total rager. He adds his own space age synth leads, epic bass lines, and an uptempo bass beat to the distinguishable piano riff of “Clocks” as well as the mesmerizing vocals of Chris Martin to completely rework one of the songs of our generation. The best part of this awesome dance floor tribute is that it is available for download for free, compliments of Dash Berlin. Enjoy!

Dash Berlin – California Love [Free Download]

‘California Love’, the infamous hip hop track originally performed by West Coast rap legends, 2pac and Dr. Dre, has just been remade into a euphorically produced trance track by none other than the iconic Dutch producer, Dash Berlin. The mix features a heavy synth progression and, of course, the universally recognized chorus from the original rap anthem. Not only is the track an admirable allusion to the past, but it is available for free download. N-joy.

Electric Daisy Carnival 2012 Las Vegas: Official Recap

Simply put, this weekend was UNREAL. It began Thursday morning with a five-hour excursion from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, stopping only once for our precious In-N-Out. After finally touching down at our suite at the Mandalay Bay, we made it down the strip to the Hardrock Hotel to meet up with the rest of the Techi Team. What then ensued could only be described as a night of complete debauchery, leading into the next morning ready to head back to Mandalay Bay, where our good friends Gregory Sills and Peter Sims, together known as Fista Cuffs, played the topless pool party. Now that the darkness was approaching, it was time to call the limo and make our way to the main event – the one and only Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas. Continue on for a day by day recap of everything that went down at the Motorspeedway on this legendary weekend…
