Today we have brand new remix from Ballast, a Phoenix based up and coming producer who we hav been keeping our eye on lately. Doctor Jeep & Obey City’s track, ‘Dem Hoes’, is the track that Ballast chose to remix and he gives it a grooving, dirty, tech vibe to it with the bassline providing the driving force behind the track. This week on the Tuesday Trance Report, we’re featuring only a few select tracks that have caught the eye of our entire staff. The first is Andrew Rayel’s remix to Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz’s ‘The Expedition’, which has been dubbed the respected anthem to ASOT600. Following Rayel we have BT’s radio edit to his brand new track ‘Skylarking’, and ‘Are You Ready’, a phenomenal original mix brought to Beatport by none other than DSCO on his latest EP, Year of the Snake, on Techibeats Records. Following the full releases of those three gems, we have a brand new preview to Dash Berlin’s remix of Hardwell’s ‘Apollo’, which provides some beautifully stemmed vocals from Amba Shepherd. There are few things more exciting than experiencing the first year of a new music festival. Although past experiences may draw thousands of people, including myself, back to major events such as Coachella and EDC, the sheer adventure of uncharted festival territory may be equally as enthralling. This was the first year for the twin festival, “I Love This City,” being hosted in both San Francisco and San Diego, and I had the opportunity to attend the SF event over the past weekend.
