Wobble Wednesday: The Postal Service – Such Great Heights (Team Bayside High Bootleg) [Free Download]

Team Bayside High Bootie

As the Postal Service has risen from the dead just in time to hop on the festival circuit, the Chicago based DJ duo, Team Bayside High, has only intensified the hype surrounding them with another one of their fantastic trap bootlegs. Although I’m accustomed to their heavy trap sound that they’ve established for themselves, Team Bayside High has taken it down a notch to in order to expand upon the beauty of the Postal Service’s rendition of “Such Great Heights.” Deep bass beats, fat electro chords, and lightly complex high hat configurations accentuate the all too familiar melody of the song putting a spin on one of Ben Gibbard’s most famous works of art. The bootleg is a delightful breath of fresh air for the song as Team Bayside High brings back the nostalgia that is associated with the Postal Service along with the excitement of a never before heard version of the song. Enjoy!

The Chicago based DJ duo, Team Bayside High, has been making some noise nationwide with their Trap the Bass Bootleg of C & C Music Factory’s iconic 90′s hit “Gunna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now).” The hype and energy of the original blended with the absurdly complex high-hat and snare patterns as well as the heavily bass driven beats of Team Bayside High have resurrected the freshness of the chart topping single from over 20 years ago. You can’t help but smile as you hear the renowned sample of, “Everybody Dance Now,” with a contemporary twist that will have you bobbing your heard no matter where you hear this song. It warms my heart to see Team Bayside High, two of Chi-Town’s best local DJ’s and two of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, finally getting the recognition they deserve. Krewella – Alive (Official Music Video)

The electrifying Chicago-based trio, Krewella, has just released their official music video for their latest single, “Alive.”

The music video showcases the angelic voices of the equally beautiful Yousaf sisters as they destroy the inside of a house, ignite a bonfire, inspire a romance with their music, and rage it up in the desert with some friends. Rain Man’s gorgeous piano riffs and feel-good synthesizer melodies compliment the Yousaf sisters’ wondrous vocals as the song and video succeeds in making one truly want to “feel alive!”

Gobble Wednesday: Krewella – Come & Get It (Original Mix) [Free Download]

The Chicago trio known as Krewella have been destroying the scene and producing hit after hit over the last five years. If you are unaware of who Krewella is, then you first must know that the trio is compromised of two beautiful sisters and one lucky guy that they call Rain Man. What makes them unique is the fact that they explore a multitude of genres and use the Yousaf sister’s vocals to perfection on top of Rain Man’s exquisite productions. The latest production, “Come & Get It”, which was just released hours ago, is the first glimpse we have at their upcoming Play Harder EP, set to release December 10th. This song opens up extremely poppy and catchy, but don’t let that fool you because it quickly hits into a relentless drum & bass drop. Looped with euphoric synths and the good-feeling vocals of the Yousaf sisters that are accompanied by a smooth hitting drum & bass back beat, “Come & Get It” is the epitome of the trio’s production ability. Definitely scoop this one up and recognize all that is Krewella.

PSY – Gangnam Style (Afrojack Remix) [Preview]

PSY – Gangnam Style (Afrojack Remix) [Preview] | Stream Only

The Congress Theatre in Chicago was lucky enough to hear the first cut of Afrojack’s new remix to PSY’s international smash-hit, “Gangnam Style”. This track has been begging to be remixed ever since it exploded into pop-culture prominence and it has finally met its maker. The track itself sounds more like an original Afrojack piece than a remix; thought it does feature a variety of PSY samples. The track is sure to be a set-favorite, so get ready to hear much more of “Gangnam Style” in the days to come.

Wobble Wednesday: Krewella – Can’t Control Myself (Protohype Remix) [Free Download]

In fine tradition, Protohype has blessed us with another free download this week that is possibly his best production to date. This massive drumstep remix of Chicago’s native trio, Krewella, is quickly gaining a lot of attention. “Can’t Control Myself” was the showcased electro house track on Krewella’s chart topping, Play Hard EP. Protohype took this electro house anthem and turned it into an absolutely bass filled masterpiece. The track features Krewella’s original synths and beautifully harmonic vocals that mesh perfectly with the high hats, snares and bass line that Protohype flawlessly provides. This production is true evidence of Protohype’s capability to turn a song 360 degrees and orchestrate it into it his own Protostyle. This one has been on repeat for me and I’d highly suggest you click the download link below for ultimate Wobble Wednesday satisfaction.
