Wobble Wednesday: Jay-Z – Can I Get A… (Big Gigantic Remix)

Big Gigantic resurrects Jay-Z’s 1998 single, “Can I Get A…” with their own funk sound bringing an old rap anthem together with massive wobbles and that signature saxophone sound. The funk inspired rendition of the insanely famous hip-hop track adds a breath of fresh air to the original song making it sound brand new once again. Big G is a phenomenal duo of musicians as they continue to break down the barriers between electronic music with their live performances, their vintage sound, and their ability to mix and mash any genre of music they please making it completely their own. And not only are Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken extremely talented at what they do, but they are also incredibly generous as they have released this gem for free. Don’t snooze on this one and download your own copy of, “Can I Get A… (Big Gigantic Remix)” today!

Big Gigantic Review at Royal Oak Music Theater

This past Saturday at The Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, MI, fans got together for a sold out show for the one and only, Big Gigantic, thanks to REACT Detroit, a key player in bringing in some of the biggest names to the Detroit area. Their set was just as expected, unreal. Opening up with “Rise and Shine” followed by their hit single “Sky High” to other classics like “I Need A Dollar” to the Internet craze “Harlem Shake”. The crowd was extremely energetic and did not stop dancing the entire time, everyone had huge smiles on their faces looking at Big G’s new stage set up for their winter tour. If you haven’t had the chance to see Big G yet we recommend seeing them as soon as possible, with their aspect of music with a live Saxophone and Drums makes it an EDM show like no other! Check out their website to see if they stop at a city near you!

Wobble Wednesday: Big Gigantic & GRiZ – Power (Original Mix) [Free Download]

What happens when three innovators of jamtronica collaborate forces after successfully touring nation wide on Big Gigantic’s Uprising Tour? I guess the answer to that question would be “Power”, a soul and funk filled masterpiece created by the masterminds of Big Gigantic and GRiZ, or as I like to call them, Big GRiZantic. This song is everything you would expect of Big G & GRiZ taking the reigns together; a smooth bassline, uplifting melody, and enough soul to get grandma out of her wheel chair. Don’t think that these guys forgot their saxophones as Grant & Dominic absolutely destroy the sax riff they constructed on this number, which is eloquently accompanied by a gritty drop. Overall an absolutely incredible production and display of musical structure and knowledge. Don’t pass up on this free download & holiday present from your boys, Big GRiZantic!

Big Gigantic – Colorado Mountain High [Free Download]

As a congratulatory act of excitement, Big Gigantic has just released a brand new track titled ‘Colorado Mountain High’ on behalf of the legalization of marijuana in their home state of Colorado. The dubstep track features their signature, eclectic style and provides an interesting listen for all you bass heads. As a little joke, the length of the mix (I’m going to guess) is not a coincidence. Enjoy, and feel free to grab your download below.

Wobble Wednesday: ill.Gates – I’m EEL [Free Download]

ill.Gates is in a league of his own only accompanied by innovative and barrier-breaking producers the likes of Big Gigantic and GRiZ. They dare to explore past the confines of single genres to create a blend of Dubstep, Glitch Hop, Electro-Funk, and just about any other style you can think of. ill.Gates’ most recent release, “I’m EEL” focuses on that diverse musical background to create yet another sub-genre he likes to call, ‘Ransom’. The track features samples from some big name rappers like Eminem and Lil Wayne but it doesn’t come off as your traditional mashup. Think of it as Madeon’s “Pop Culture” Mashup entrenched in Hip-Hop with heavier bass. This song has quickly become ill.Gates’ most frequently requested song so be sure to check it out and pick it up for FREE!
