Dido – No Freedom (Benny Benassi Remix) [Preview]

It’s such a good day when Benny Benassi comes out with new music. His newest remix is of the talented British singer/songwriter Dido’s new track “No Freedom”. This preview is painfully short, painful because we always want more Benassi, and Dido for that matter. The two minutes include a huge build up with Dido’s voice and a tempo change into an electro progressive frenzy that will make you want to dance for days, or at least until the preview is over. Unfortunately neither Dido’s original nor Benny Benassi’s remix will be released until February 24th on RCA. Stay tuned Benassi lovers!

Wobble Wednesday: Pink Is Punk & Benny Benassi – Perfect Storm (Gigi Barocco Remix)

A storm of remixes showed up on Beatport, releasing several new interpretations of Benny Benassi and Pink Is Punk’s track, “Perfect Storm”. Today on this wonderful Wobble Wednesday, I decided to feature my favorite, which is a drumstep/electro house remix by Gigi Barocco. He turned this track into an absolute banger with tons of energy and a build up synth melody that drops into a drumstep section with tons of wobbles for your ears. Enjoy!

The Rolling Stones – Doom and Gloom (Benny Benassi Remix) [Preview]

This past weekend Pete Tong aired the world premiere of Benny Benassi’s remix of The Rolling Stones’ latest single, “Doom and Gloom.” It appears The Rolling Stones have still got it as Pete Tong praised Mick Jagger and the rest of the band on their stellar performance in front of 20,000 screaming fans at the London O2 Arena last week. Don’t worry if you weren’t there in London to witness it because Benny Benassi has given the rest of us a reason to scream with his jaw dropping electro take on “Doom and Gloom.” Fans of The Rolling Stones will recognize Keith Richard’s quintissential guitar rifts as well as Mick Jaggar’s distinguishable vocals from the original, while fans of Benny Benassi will revel to the distinguishable high energy additions of his electro bass, stabbing synths, and hard hitting beats. Doom and Gloom (Benny Benassi Remix) brings together two completely different musical legends to create one fantastic hybrid of a song of which everyone can appreciate. Benny Benassi has been one of the most prolific figures in electronic music over the past decade, yet he still shows no signs of slowing down. The Italian powerhouse’s sound has grown and adapted to the constantly changing EDM scene – from the simplistic, raw power of “Satisfaction” to the catchy, pop-influenced “Cinema”. No matter the scene nor setting that he has infront of him, Benny Benassi adheres to the demands of the crowd and always knows exactly what song to play in the perfect situation.  Only time will tell what Benny Benassi will do next but we cannot wait to see this innovative genius continue his already impressive run. Pink Is Punk & Benny Benassi – Perfect Storm

It appears that Pink Is Punk will appear on every EDM fan’s radar soon enough; this Italy-based duo have been making quite an impression overseas with their electro house remixes, and now they are making a big entrance into the American scene as special guests of Benny Benassi’s Rough Road Bus Tour. Not only is this duo sharing the stage with Benassi, but they’ve decided to collaborate in the studio as well with the track “Perfect Storm”, a hard-hitting, top-notch electro house production. “Perfect Storm” contains that expert attention to detail that Benassi is known for along with his beautiful melodic synths and big house feel, yet it also showcases a heavy, in-your-face sound from the duo.
