Breach – Jack EP [Preview]

Dark, groovy, and sexual are the only words that seem to come to mind when I hear Dirtybird’s newest teaser of Breach’s Jack EP. Breach has created something that fits perfectly with the style and feel that Dirtybird’s tunes emenate. The 3 track EP includes “Jack”, a sensual composition of bass and dirty vocals, and “Let’s Get Hot”, Breach’s synthesizer madness at work. I have a feeling the lyrics of both of these are going to get stuck in my head for a while. Release date set for April fool’s day on beatport stay tuned for the link. Also, see what Claude VonStroke had to say about this EP after the jump.

R3hab, Nari & Milani, and MYNC – #Miamibackagain (Original Mix)

miamiSome of the best electro house tracks are produced by several producers who can each lend a distinctive hand in creating a multifaceted banger. “#Miamibackagain” is the triple collaboration by R3hab, Nari & Milani, and MYNC and is a complex and compelling song with heavy electro synths and a snappy beat. The build grows with huge intensity and drops with “back again!” into a hard hitting transition. “#Miamibackagain” is the single from the three disc album Miami 2013 compiled by each producer featured on the track, and is the 500th release from Cr2 Records. The Norwegian duo, Lemâitre has just released a new track called “Cut To Black”, the second track of their anticipated EP, Relativity 3. This particular track had caught my attention though. With its bouncy rhythm, accompanied by a melting piano and a soothing vocal melody, this track is a perfect addition for your sunday afternoons. If you like this one, the rest of their EP can be purchased via iTunes in the supplied link.

Tommy Trash – Monkey See Monkey Do EP

monkey

Tommy Trash is one of the main contributors to my distinctive love for electro house. After hearing this man’s production sound a few years ago, I was floored by how distinct of a voice he has through making music. It can easily be said that no one creates any tunes that can come close to successfully mimicking the style of this Australian innovator. Released today through Mau5trap is Tommy’s re-edit and the remixes of his epically popular song “Monkey See Monkey Do”. Tommy’s re-edit track maintains the original childish melody and high pitched synths with the classic build, but then things get different. The drop transitions into a more complex overlay with a distinct electro feel. Tommy stays true to his roots and develops the drops into something with less of the pure and simple grunge than the original. Accompanying Tommy’s own re-edit are remixes by Tom Staar, Nom De Strip, and Zero Hero. Tom Staar adds a delicious house vibe to the track and is my personal favorite remix of the bunch. Nom De Strip morph the originally Trashy drop into winding electro synths. Last but not least, Zero Hero completely changes the track into something completely different. Nevertheless the re-edit of “Monkey See Monkey Do” along with the three remixes have some unexpected sounds you will not want to miss out on hearing!

For those of you who listen to BBC Radio 1′s Diplo & Friends, you may have already heard Annie Mac premiere Foamo’s remix of Wilkinson’s Take You Higher. In case you missed it though, Foamo has given us this little preview of it through his soundcloud. Foamo has always had my ears with his jungly utilization of percussion and bassey synths. Foamo is a resident at Rinse FM and one half of UK-based Gorgon City. If you want the full version as much as I did, you can grab your pre-order on iTunes, which is set to release on March 24th via Dirtybird Records.

Our main man Myndset is back after his debut release on Techibeats Records. This time he has teamed up with Wild Boyz! and they have created a hard hitting electro banger. What sets ‘Swerve’ apart is the melodic elements that are perfectly intertwined with grinding, dirty electro leads to give this song a very infectious feel that will make you want to rage. Enjoy!

A Tribe Called Quest – 1nce Again (Bit Funk Remix) [Free Download]

A Tribe Called Quest, brought back to life “1nce Again” by Bit Funk. With rejuvenated 4 by 4 house rhythms, the original rap tune has been given a new perspective. Bit Funk does an incredible job giving just the right twist to this classic beat. If you are a fan of A Tribe Called Quest, I believe Bit Funk does them justice and this one deserves a free download. Enjoy.

Autoerotique & Moska – R U RDY [Free Download]

artworks-000041770008-ff401h-original

Autoerotique and Moska asks you, “Are you ready?” What they meant to ask was “Are you ready to be erotique-ly hypnotized by lasers?” I definitely wasn’t. Now I know why the word ‘weapons’ can be used for tracks. This track is an absolute banger and yet almost trance inducing. I can not help but get sucked in by—what sounds to be—the Deathstar on the spritz. Lucky enough for us, Autoerotique has decided to give this one out for free and Darth Vader isn’t actually trying to kill us.

AlunaGeorge – Attracting Flies (Original Mix) [Preview]

Although they have recently done a collaboration with Disclosure, along with having an already incredible discography, AlunaGeorge continues to deliver with sweet vocals and catchy beats. The duo consisting of Aluna Francis and George Reid, have just released a preview of their debut album titled Body Music, which is set to release July 1st. “Attracting Flies”, however will be set loose on the world on March 10th with forthcoming remixes from Baauer, S-type, and more. I can not wait to see the flux of remixes that may spring from this one. The vocals are soothing and the instrumentals are extremely contagious.

Tommy Trash – Monkey See Monkey Do Remix EP [Preview]

artworks-000041783047-iperty-original

Tommy Trash, also known as Jack Black’s Australian counterpart (not really), is set to release his Monkey See Monkey Do Remix EP via Mau5trap records on March 4th. With remixes from Nom De Strip, Tom Starr, Zero Hero, and a re-edit from himself, the EP sounds very promising. Swapping out his more progressive electro feel that we previously knew from his original with a banging electro rhythm, Tommy Trash has gone from Spider Monkey to Gorilla mode. If you are looking for more something more progressive, take the Tom Staar vitamin. If it is lazers that you seek, Nom De Strip has the full package of interstellar ammunition. But if you are looking for something with a little more of a crunch and little more bite, I suggest to you Zero Hero’s remix. All in all, this is a solid EP. Can’t say I don’t like the artwork either.
