Madeon – Triple J Mix [Free Download]

Madeon-Triple-J - techi

After Porter Robinson blew our minds with his own 30 minute Triple J mix at the end of last year, another one of the young DJ prodigies, Madeon, has returned with an impressive 46 track mix in only 33 minutes using nothing more then two Ableton Launchpads and a midi controller. The talent this kid has is unreal and can only be realized by clicking the play button below and listening to the magic he creates. Madeon describes his own mix as, “A snapshot of the music that’s been exciting me as a DJ recently, ranging from electro to disco-ish stuff.” The spectrum of music of which he speaks so modestly is huge as he pulls tracks from The M Machine, Audien, Zedd, Autoerotique, Kill the Noise, Wolfgang Gartner, Justice, Lemâitre, and, of course, his own arsenal of music. This mix will prove to those skeptical of DJing that it is in fact an art that takes a particular creative mind to master. Madeon, at 18 years old, has mastered such an art and the beauty of it all is that he’s just getting started. Enjoy and check out the full tracklist after the jump!

Felix Cartal & Autoerotique – The Alarm (Original Mix)

Autoerotique and Felix Cartal give us the literal definition of what a banger is with “The Alarm,” just released today off of Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. The single begins with wailing pitches that resemble the timbre of a siren or an alarm going off foreshadowing the madness that is about to ensue. As the build up continues to climb, some resemblance to a melody begins to appear but then quickly disappears as the drop finally decides to arrive. A massive bass beat accompanied by stabbing synthesizers, rising pitches, and a perfectly executed pauses make for a highly successful formula for raging. Some depth to the track appears in the form of a calming synthesizer melody that gradually builds itself back up to the hype of the song. Prepare yourself to hear “The Alarm” wreaking havoc in a club or venue near you and don’t forget to pick up your very own copy of it on Beatport!

Autoerotique – LZR FNK (Original Mix) [Free Download]

Autoerotique quickly became one of the top electro house producers of 2011 and 2012. “LZR FNK” gives off a completely different vibe from the usual hard hitting bass hits. The track has a nice dutch lead that sheds a little moombah and continues with high energy throughout the track. It’s different from their usual work, but definitely worth the free download. Check it out!

‘Tonight Rockstead!’, Peacetreaty’s brand new bootleg uses two great remixes from Autoerotique and Gigi Borroco and beautifully fuses the melodies into one strong electro mix. The original tracks are from Felix Cartal and The Bloody Beetroots, but have been given a quaint little makeover. Bootlegs are always a DJs best friend, and they’re even better when they’re free- all you have to do is like a quick Facebook page. N-Joy.

Electric Daisy Carnival 2012 Las Vegas: Official Recap

Simply put, this weekend was UNREAL. It began Thursday morning with a five-hour excursion from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, stopping only once for our precious In-N-Out. After finally touching down at our suite at the Mandalay Bay, we made it down the strip to the Hardrock Hotel to meet up with the rest of the Techi Team. What then ensued could only be described as a night of complete debauchery, leading into the next morning ready to head back to Mandalay Bay, where our good friends Gregory Sills and Peter Sims, together known as Fista Cuffs, played the topless pool party. Now that the darkness was approaching, it was time to call the limo and make our way to the main event – the one and only Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas. Continue on for a day by day recap of everything that went down at the Motorspeedway on this legendary weekend…

AutoErotique – Roll The Drums (Clockwork Remix) [Preview]

Out next month on Dim Mak Records, Clockwork’s brand new remix to AutoErotique’s ‘Roll The Drums’ features an insanely hard hitting big room bassline unlike any other I’ve heard in quite a while. The deep riffs are perfectly matched with contrastingly high pitch vocals and sudden breaks in beat on top of a swift melody that beautifully uses light leads to build into such a deep drop. I can not wait for this release, and I especially can not wait to hear it in any upcoming sets. Enjoy!

Tiesto & Autoerotique – Bring That Beat Back (Tiesto Edit)

The one and only Tiesto along with Autoerotique give us a hard hitting electro jam titled ‘Bring That Beat Back’. They bring us into the track with a hart hitting steady bass drum and a driving, steady bass line. With complex and intense leads accompanied with the driving, distorted bass this track is very “in your face”. This is a track that will definitely be heard on the festival circuit so it is out just in time for Miami. Enjoy!

Steve Aoki feat. Wynter Gordon – Ladi Dadi (Remixes)

The remix package of Steve Aoki and Wynter Gordon’s “Ladi Dadi” is finally here and a few big names make an appearance. The first remix on the list comes from rising star Tommy Trash who has been on a roll lately. This remix is one of his most impressive to date as he infuses his distorted bass with catchy synths to compose a powerful drop. The next remix comes from Autoerotique who utilizes elements of both electro and dubstep to create two consecutive drops that both do the original track justice. Angger Dimas gives his take of the track by running with the formula that has been working for him – great production style infused with massive drops. The last remix of the bunch comes from the relatively unknown Pixel Cheese. Of all the remixes this one has the most traditional house feel that utililzes Wynter Gordon’s vocals to the fullest until the pulsating bassline kicks in at the 2:30 mark. You really can’t go wrong with any of these remixes so be sure to check em out!
