Up & Comer: Klauss Goulart

If you have not yet heard of Klauss Goulart, things are about to change. The young Brazilian may not have much of a following in the states, but continuous support from some of the biggest names in the industry are taking him an entirely new level of prominence. Klauss Goulart got started back in 2009 and has since caught the eye of artists the likes of Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten and more. The prodigy’s first release, “Deep Universe”, launched him into the forefront of the trance industry after Armin van Buuren began to support the track in a variety of his sets, including his Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. On a more recent note, Klauss has a brand new collaboration with Mark Sixma, “Rio”, due out on May 15th and it is sure to be huge. Released today, “This Is What It Feels Like” is Armin van Buuren’s first official single of his fifth studio album. The album, Intense, will be released May 3rd after years of production perfecting. Armin maintains an upbeat and emotional mix with the help of vocalist Trevor Guthrie. While it may be a rather simple trance track, the sounds are blended and mixed perfectly with the track maintaining a small and emotional breakdown to a drop containing that and so much more. Along with the release is an official W&W remix again featuring the amazing vocals of Guthrie, but it’s the drop of this remix that really makes this track an innovative and hard hitting progressive beat. Well fans, the first weekend of Ultra Music Festival in Miami has come to a close and wow was it an amazing one. I sure hope some of you were either there for the amazing experience or streaming in from your computer via Ultra’s YouTube channel UMFTV. With some of the world’s biggest DJs playing sets throughout the day at different times and stages, it was hard to catch everyone you wanted to see as most festivals go. The wonderful thing about our post here is we have a chance for you to relive the experience through you ears, with some of our favorites from the first weekend. We apologize that some of these aren’t the full sets, but we will update them throughout the week once we get our hands on any full recordings as they arise.
