Ushuaia has officially announced their Departures Residency with a supporting lineup that is unrivaled. For those of you that don’t know, ‘Departures’ consists of Swedish House Mafia members Axwell and Sebastion Ingrosso. In that supporting lineup holds a spot for the American rising sensation Anthony Attalla. Gaining recent support from other artists like Umek and Mark Knight has considerably boosted the up-and-comer’s profile, talent and original sound into the limelight; something best served whilst seeing Anthony perform live. Other acts that will be joining in on the fun with Departures includes: Alesso, Dirty South, John Martin, NO_ID, Otto Knows, Style of Eye, Thomas Gold, Tommy Trash, Zedd. With the wildly successful “Calling (Lose My Mind”), it was clear that the poppy vocals of OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder were a perfect match for Alesso’s upbeat progressive house style. Alesso returns to the winning formula with his newest release “If I Lose Myself”, which remixes the OneRepublic song of the same title with beautiful piano melodies and that big progressive house feel. Event Review: Ultra Music Festival Weekend Two

Celebrating it’s 15th year anniversary, Ultra Music Festival has grown over the years into one of the world’s most prestigious EDM events. Boasting an impressive 7 stages in the heart of downtown Miami and an eclectic lineup featuring everyone from the superstars like Tiesto to the underground kings like Richie Hawtin and Seth Troxler. With any event of this scale, there are bound to be some problems, but for the most part Ultra did a really good job providing festival goers with the best possible experience. Lines weren’t unbearable, traffic was manageable, water was free, there were plenty of bathrooms, and getting from stage to stage was relatively easy and quick. For the most part, crossover noise between stages was minimized despite a couple unavoidable exceptions. Overall it seemed that Ultra had listened to their fans and did everything they could to make this an incredible experience for all and I think they did an excellent job. Alesso vs. OneRepublic – If I Lose Myself (Alesso Remix) [Preview]

The unforgettable melody from Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso’s anthem, “Calling,” paired with Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic’s amazing vocals made for such a jaw-dropping combination in “Calling (Lose My Mind)” that they couldn’t possibly leave the collaboration at just that. Thus, the formula for success picks up right where they left it as Alesso’s remix of OneRepublic’s “If I Lose Myself,” takes a familiar combination but re-invents it to create something brand new. Ryan Tedder’s vocals and the gorgeous grand piano intro play off of each other to introduce the song as well as Alesso’s signature synthesizer melody chorus. It’s reminiscent of his sound in his collaboration with Dirty South, “City of Dreams,” because of the power and raw emotion behind the drop. Although it’s just a preview, “If I Lose Myself (Alesso Remix)” is destined for greatness as everything that Alesso is associated with normally is. Swedish House Mafia Announces Lineup For Masquerade Motel LA

SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA have began to announce the supporting line up for their highy anticipated Masquerade Motel which will host two stages at the Los Angeles Historic Park on March 8th & 9th. March 8th will bring Alesso, Otto Knows, Mat Zo and Third Party to the main stage and Nero (DJ Set), Sub Focus, Clockwork and Monsta to the The Marquee. On March 9th, the Swedes will be joined again by Alesso on the main stage along with Zedd , AN21 & Max Vangeli & No_ID with Sub Focus, Style of Eye, Clockwork and Monsta returning to the Bass Arena.  More names are expected to be announced soon.

Refune Records has been releasing banger after banger, so it is no surprise that Alesso’s remix of Arty’s “When I See You” is now set to be released December 21st. Both artists have had an incredible year and it is only reiterated in this track. This is the kind of song you want to hear at the end of a three day festival, exhausted, dehydrated, but still high from the incredible music.
