Gal Abutbul feat. Phillipa Joy – Don’t Mind Waiting (Gal Abutbul & David Mimram Dub)

If you want melodic and euphoric trance, this dub by Gal Abutbul and David Mimram is it. They take the original by Gal Abutbul accompanied by the vocals of Australian singer Phillipa Joy to put together one of the cleanest trance productions I’ve heard all year. As featured on Episode #021 of Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio, this is a superb track with support from the biggest names in the industry. The release also includes the original, a dub of the original, and a more uplifting and energetic remix again from Abutbul and Mimram.

Above & Beyond Group Therapy 001 Bangalore + Group Therapy 50 Will Be Held In London

Above & Beyond ended their legendary radio show, Trance Around The World, and introduced the next chapter of Group Therapy in Bangalore India. Today they released the amazing after movie of that first Group Therapy show along with the very special announcement that ABGT 050 will take place live in London on October 26th. This will be the group’s biggest show in their home town of London and a true milestone for the legendary trance trio. Stay tuned for more details.

Trance Tuesday: Super8 & Tab – L.A. (Original Mix)

The Finnish Trance super duo, Super8 & Tab, have finally released their latest single “L.A.” off of Above & Beyond’s powerhouse Anjunabeats label. The song was first showcased in Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats, Vol. 10 which reached huge success foreshadowing some of the hottest trance tracks of 2013, including “L.A.” I know from personal experience the love between Los Angeles/Orange County and Trance so it’s no surprise to me that Super8 & Tab would choose to name one of their most instrumentally emotional songs after this city. The track itself features the most beautiful of trance chords, the heaviest of trance bass lines, powerful synthesizer leads, and a melody that will get you moving to the sounds of, “L.A.” Enjoy!

Ralph Kyau and Steven Moebius Albert, together known as the German trance duo, Kyau & Albert, have been an essential aspect to the expansion of modern day dance music since the founding of their record label, Euphonic Records, in 1997. Just yesterday, however, we’re blessed with the brand new release of their original mix, ‘Glühwürmchen’, on the ever so respected Anjunabeats record label. The uplifting track brings in a plethora of eccentric sounds and carries forward with a playfully light progression. Having been cued as the opening track for Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio 018, the song may sound familiar.

Tuesday Trance Report – 109

Trance family around the world, welcome to the ninth edition of our beloved TTR. This week we kick off with ‘Aldo’, a beautiful original mix from Huntington Beach natives, Norin & Rad, on Above & Beyond’s ever so respected Anjunabeats record label. Next we have the extremely uplifting club mix to Dankann and Antillas’ ‘When You Love Someone’, which features the euphoric vocals of singer, Laurell. Up next we have some great synth play in Ronski Speed and Dennis Sheperd’s new original, ‘Karoshi’, as well as some great progression in Protoculture’s ‘Laguna’. Last but not least, we have ‘Sky High’, a great uplifting track from Vintage & Morelli.

Following our favorite releases of the week, we’ve included each set from A State of Trance 600 in Beirut, Lebanon which took place just a few days ago on March 9. However, one performance stood out to us, the rest of the world, and Armin van Buuren himself as he referred to it as simply “underestimated”. Marlo Hoogstraten, better known as MarLo, took the bull by the horns this past Saturday and delivered an unbelievable, high energy set. MarLo, who flew all the way from Australia, is recently buzzing off his recent hit ‘Boom’ on the A State of Trance 2013 compilation album, which many have dubbed the unofficial anthem to ASOT 600.
