I woke up in Miami knowing today may be the longest/craziest day of my entire life. At the same time I was more excited than a little kid on Christmas morning to get the day going. At 11am I grabbed a cab to head over to Nikki Beach for Robbie Rivera’s legendary Juicy Beach event. Well fans, the first weekend of Ultra Music Festival in Miami has come to a close and wow was it an amazing one. I sure hope some of you were either there for the amazing experience or streaming in from your computer via Ultra’s YouTube channel UMFTV. With some of the world’s biggest DJs playing sets throughout the day at different times and stages, it was hard to catch everyone you wanted to see as most festivals go. The wonderful thing about our post here is we have a chance for you to relive the experience through you ears, with some of our favorites from the first weekend. We apologize that some of these aren’t the full sets, but we will update them throughout the week once we get our hands on any full recordings as they arise. The legendary nightclub Marquee has just released an amazing compilation album featuring music from EDM’s biggest names such as Hardwell, Fedde Le Grand, Ferry Corsten, Arty, Eric Morillo and many more. The double disc compilation also features previously unreleased tracks and mixes from Joachim Garraud, EDX, Blake Jarrell, Cosmic Gate & Andrew Bayer, EC Twins & Andy D’Arrigo, and Glenn Morrison. With festivals across the world ramping up production and adding more dates it’s no surprise to see that Electric Zoo in NY has announced that it will be expanding the festival grounds for this years event and there will be two main stages. To celebrate the festival’s 5th year, there will be 5 stages in total and they will announcing the first phase of the lineup soon, so be sure to check back for the lineup and more info soon. Electric Zoo will take place on Randall’s Island from August 30th through September 1st.

Hardwell quickly became one of the top DJs of 2012. Seeing him live is an exciting experience. He uses his energy and charisma on stage to get a crowd amped and uses the emotion from the crowd to make an awesome set.
