Dead Cat Bounce has remixed Zedd’s “Spectrum” and although it’s super short, it’s definitely worth the download. The strings are immediately captivating, which lead to Matthew Koma’s voice and a sick breakdown that reminds me of old school Porter Robinson. Interested in more of Dead Cat Bounce? Check out their Facebook HERE and grab a free download of the remix ASAP!

The legendary German house duo Booka Shade will be releasing their Haleshop EP on January 14th and it will only be released on a limited number of special edition vinyl. Lucky for you Booka Shade has decided to give away the title track for free. ‘Haleshop’ is another perfect example of the incredible talent this duo has. They are able to create a track that seems so unorthodox yet is so infectious you almost can’t help but get up and dance. Enjoy!

Well this is super interesting. Remember that one time when DJ Shadow was told to stop playing at club in Miami because his music was too intense? Now you can preview and buy it on Beatport! DJ Shadow incorporates different sounds to make a unique set. He doesn’t play the top 10 on Beatport, but instead aims at uncovering all kinds of EDM including underground. That being said, DJs have always said how they evolve their sets for the crowd they’re playing for, which didn’t happen in this case. Check it out on Beatport today!

Anyone who uses a computer on a regular basis has probably lost documents or data because of crashed drives or various other technical mishaps, fortunately with the increased availability of cloud storage services like icloud and dropbox has greatly eliminated this problem. However, there hasn’t been a sufficient cloud storage that is geared towards music production and any producer will tell you that losing a project after slaving away for hours is devastating.
Well Gobbler is here to answer the call, Gobbler is a cloud storage application that is geared specifically toward music production. Once you sign up you download the application and it immediately scans for you project files (it recognizes files for every major DAW), then you are able to select which projects you want to back up and Gobbler will backup your current project and monitor and store any changes made. Gobbler also acts as a high speed file transfer service that is perfect for sharing your work or collaborating with others over long distances.
The base option is free and you receive 5GB of storage and 5GB of transfers and there are many different plans ranging in price and storage. The largest package available is 250GB of storage and unlimited transfers, you are also able to set up a customized plan to perfectly fit your needs. I downloaded the program and it has been amazing so far; it is very easy to instal and use the this is a truly invaluable service for producers. Check it out and let us know what you think!
Diplo has posted a new song he and DJA have produced for Wale and Travis Porter on his soundcloud titled “Folarin One Eye Kitten Song”. Yes, that’s actually the title, and yes, you’re actually looking at one above. While David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia get backlash time and time again for “selling out” by producing tracks for more spotlighted artists, Diplo doesn’t have that problem. My guess? He actually makes different and good music. Check out the track below! Cheers!

I’d say this is an extremely special mix from one of San Fran’s most beloved DJs, Justin Martin. In this mix, the Dirty Bird star dives into his roots and first musical love with a deep and fast paced variety of drum and bass. He has not done something like this for well over a decade. Enjoy this one because this mix is seriously great for any occasion.

Who knew raggaeton and acid electro mixed well together? Clockwork knew. Sean Paul’s catchy vocals fit amazingly well on Clockwork’s rendition of the Congorock banger. We heard this one get dropped a couple of times at Snowglobe and let me tell you, this track is an all out banger. It’s ready to get released January 8th on Ultra Records, a big up for young Henry. Stay tuned for the beatport link.
