Wobble Wednesday: Martin Solveig & The Cataracs feat. Kyle – Hey Now (Carnage Remix) [Preview]

martin solveig - techiMartin Solveig & The Catarac’s newest pop anthem, “Hey Now” has received the good ol’ remix treatment by none other then Carnage. Straying away from the “festival trap” sound that brought him to glory, Carnage has taken a new musical direction which can be heard in the progressive house roots of the remix, yet he still manages to drop the bass. And a lot of it too. The foreign influences upon the musical intricacies of the drop turn a once incredibly poppy song into a bouncy and bass driven rager. The official release date for this song has yet to be announced, but stay tuned and get familiar with the reinvented Carnage as he’s pumping out new and different material constantly. Enjoy!

Wobble Wednesday: Disclosure – You & Me feat. Eliza Doolittle (Baauer Remix) [Preview]

baauer remix - techi

When I saw that Baauer had remixed Disclosure and Eliza Doolittle’s “You & Me” I couldn’t help but assume that it would be a typical trap remix. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Baauer is incredibly versatile and fully capable of surprising his now huge fan base. He sped up the tempo, raised Eliza Doolittle’s voice even higher, and completely altered the entire feel of “You & Me” with the beat, while retaining its most quintessential components. The fact that Baauer is branching out from his typical trap sound which brought him to fame speaks wonders about his future and his willingness to experiment with contemporary sounds. Take a listen to the preview below and make sure to pick up the official copy when it drops on May 21st. Enjoy!

Krewella – Alive (Hardwell Remix)

hardwell - techi

The Chicago-based trio, Krewella, has been making quite an impact on the dance world this year with their unique blend of gorgeous vocals courtesy of Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf with the Rainman’s dubstep, electro house, and drum n’ bass productions. Their single, “Alive,” has hit the top of Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Chart and Hardwell, the #6 DJ in the world, wanted to keep the momentum of the song alive with his own rendition of the hit. Just the fact that Krewella is catching the attention of heavy hitters such as Hardwell speaks wonders for their quickly rising career over the past year. The remix features Jahan and Yasmine’s easily distinguishable vocals and lyrics, but the familiar song quickly takes a turn towards the signature dutch sound that brought Hardwell to prominence. Euphoric synthesizer chords, stabbing Hardwell synth leads, and a fat bass beat accompany the massive build-up which takes the energy of this song to a new level. Fans of both Hardwell and Krewella will absolutely lose it when they listen to this song as it takes the best from both artists and mashes them both together into a soon to be huge festival banger. If you don’t believe me, then take a listen for yourself and let us know what you guys think. Enjoy!

Golden Girls – Kinetic (Jeremy Olander Remix)

Golden Girls - Jeremy Olander

Jeremy Olander has been on fire lately with the release of his new show, Vivrant Radio, which just reached the number one spot as the most popular show on Frisky Radio. With what started as a bootleg that we heard Eric Prydz beginning to implement into his finely crafted sets, Jeremy Olander’s remix of Golden Girls’ “Kinetic” is nothing short of a masterpiece which has become the trend for anything associated with this young producers name. The song begins soft as the incredibly catchy, yet cool melody begins to break through the surface of the introduction until it climaxes and meets with a heavily complimentary bassline. The musical attributes associated with this song are fantastic as Jeremy Olander’s knowledge of how to make people groove as well as how to please their ears is put on full display. Take a listen to the amazing progressive house sounds of one of our favorite up-and-comers here at techibeats.com and be sure to pick up a copy of his remix of Golden Girls’ “Kinetic” if you have the means. Cheers!

Showtek and Noisecontrollers – Get Loose (Tiesto Remix)

tiestoTiesto has masterfully remixed yet another track into what I consider to be superior to it’s original. His take on “Get Loose” by Showtek and Noisecontrollers warps their initial production into something far more housey and danceable. Tiesto has greatly slowed down the track, and the lesser amount of BPMs allows for house dominance in the song as opposed to the original hardstyle pace. “Get Loose” features classic Tiesto sounds, and brings back memories of hearing “Maximal Crazy” for the first time. His remix here features similar sounds, with that same heavy back bassline, funky fun synths, and siren like sounds. This take on “Get Loose” from the epic Tiesto in one word: HUGE. Take a listen for yourself, this song will be blowing up DJ sets all summer.

Wobble Wednesday: Knife Party – LRAD (The Trap Remixes) [Free Download]

lrad - techiHere we have something a bit more special than normal on this fine Wobble Wednesday: a compilation of three of the freshest trap remixes of Knife Party’s newest rager, “LRAD.” We couldn’t decide which was our favorite so we wanted you guys to decide for us! First we have Boombox Cartel’s “WTF Is Festival Trap Remix” that absolutely kills it with the crazy syncopated tribal rhythms off of his too hot to trot festival trap beats. If this remix doesn’t get you hyped and filled with energy then I don’t know what will. Next, we have CRNKN’s “FESTIE RMX” which turns the lights down a bit with more space for bass rather then trap induced high hats or snare drum patterns. Finally but definitely not least, we have Candyland’s “OG Remix” which is for sure a panty dropper with it’s fat bass drops playing off of the tribal drums beats of the original. All in all, each remix brings something completely different to the table, but each is incredibly good in it’s own way and for the purpose of which each artist saw fit. Listen to them all below and feel free to download each and everyone one of them for FREE thanks to our friends Boombox Cartel, CRNKN, and Candyland. Enjoy!

Discopolis – Falling (Committed To Sparkle Motion) (Axwell Radio Edit)

Axwell - techibeats

The highly anticipated release of Axwell’s Radio Edit of “Falling (Committed to Sparkle Motion)” is finally here for all of our listening pleasures. Much different from the bigroom Dubvision remix of the track earlier released on Axtone and heard in the Mafia’s sets, Axwell goes with the feel of the original track by the 4-piece electronic band, Discopolis, from Edinburgh. The mix of the live instrumentation with Axwell’s electronic production makes for the perfect electronic-alternative combination. It’s amazing to see Axwell branch out so far from his typical club sound where he has been since he first made it as a DJ/Producer, yet it speaks wonders for his musicianship as this song blatantly shows his versatility as a producer. His latest solo ventures as well as the quality productions that have been coming off of his power house label are just a taste of what is to come. Enjoy!

Phoenix – Entertainment (Hot Natured Remix)

phonix - techi

Phoenix has been killing it this past year with their countless festival headlines this summer and their rise back to the top with the release of their latest album Bankrupt. Hot Natured has only  increased the hype surrounding Phoenix with their remix of Phoenix’s hit single off of Bankrupt, “Entertainment.” Straying far away from the original energy, hard hitting beats, and up-tempo from the original, Hot Natured turns the “Entertainment” into a very chill, disco/house track that is just as, if not more, pleasing to the ear. Thomas Mars’ vocal samples are stellar on top of the layers of funky bass, disco-inspired percussion, and syncopated synth stabs produced by Hot Natured. Enjoy!

Above & Beyond feat. Richard Bedford – Thing Called Love (Paris Blohm Remix) [Free Download]

artworks-000046424272-hqc892-t500x500

Paris Blohm is back with another absolutely massive tune. This time he is giving away his remix of Above & Beyond’s classic track, ‘Thing Called Love’. Paris injects this track with incredible energy, with euphoric chord progressions and fast paced leads making this remix a anthemic, progressive banger. Each production Paris releases is another testament of his talent as a producer, and he has rightfully gaining a lot of attention lately. I have a feeling that this year will be a big year for Paris Blohm.

Daft Punk – One More Time (Candyland’s OG Remix) [Free Download]

As we previously announced on our FB page, the quickly rising co-ed DJ duo,Candyland, have attempted a rather bold move by bringing the perfect song, “One More Time” and giving it a 2013 transformation. A self-claimed “2013 transformation” would be translated as the 808 and high hat infused sub genre of bass music known world wide as trap music. What I appreciate about this move from Ethan Davis & Josie Martin (Candyland) is their willingness to pursue this track knowing their would be much criticism and simply staring right past it and delivering a nifty rendition. This isn’t your standard remix of subbing in trap elements for the songs original snare, instead Candyland have completely handcrafted their own drum pattern, sped up the hooks’ tempo and hammered in a elbow leaning drop, sure to please all lovers of trap. We’d love to hear your opinions on this Techi Fans, grab the free download and let us know how you feel about “One More Time” seeing a modern light.
