Good 4 It – Wallpaper (Laidback Luke Remix)

artworks-000047427086-gsqjyj-t500x500

It’s a Laidback Luke kind of Sunday. Laidback Luke’s goal for the remix of “Good 4 It” was to create the Melbourne bounce sound that is quickly becoming more and more popular in the electronic music scene. Although he somewhat failed on that account, he did, in fact, nail another remix. The original song is pop rock jam that is super catchy and an ideal remix. What makes Melbourne bounce different from the Afrojack bleep sounding dutch house is the vocal effect. It’s almost like a person is making the lead noise, yet in Luke’s track it misses that vocal sound. That being said, I still can’t wait to jam to this track in the summer sun with my hands high. Check out the remix, and if you have any interest in the original, click HERE for the video. There’s no information on the release date, but check out the song in full below. Enjoy!

Martin Solveig, The Cataracs & Kyle – Hey Now (Laidback Luke Remix) [Preview]

artworks-000048297403-gio9fy-t500x500

Laidback Luke has added his unique touch to Martin Solveig and The Cataracs “Hey Now.” The track has a guitar and horn filled breakdown that definitely makes the drop quite a surprise. There isn’t much of a build up, but in turn, adds more of the said surprise effect for the deep horn drop and added percussion. It’s always a treat when Martin Solveig and Laidback Luke mesh their sounds together or remix one another because both of their signatures work well in a really creative way. There isn’t any information about when this banger will be released, but in the mean time hit play folks! Enjoy!

With the over-saturation in electronic music today that’s being talked about by nearly all the major DJs in the industry, it must be so difficult to find music that doesn’t sound like everyone else. Well let me, present to you Go Freek’s remix of “Friends”. I have to admit, these guys completely caught me by surprise with this drop. Sorry Steve Angello, but I guess you were wrong about music lacking creativity nowadays. Don’t just take my word for it though. Let this song speak for itself.

Monkey Safari – Got The Jack [Preview]

The driving bass line on this track has got me grooving way too hard this morning. These shuffled beats and 90s styled drum fills, paired with an irresistible funk has got me in such a trance I nearly forgot my own name. Monkey Safari has created a house banger with just the right amount of flair and groove to make the rest of my day complete. Not even really knowing the lyrics won’t stop me from humming this tune well into the night time. Too bad this is only a preview. We will keep you guys posted on a release date though!

Wobble Wednesday: Disclosure – You & Me feat. Eliza Doolittle (Baauer Remix) [Preview]

baauer remix - techi

When I saw that Baauer had remixed Disclosure and Eliza Doolittle’s “You & Me” I couldn’t help but assume that it would be a typical trap remix. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Baauer is incredibly versatile and fully capable of surprising his now huge fan base. He sped up the tempo, raised Eliza Doolittle’s voice even higher, and completely altered the entire feel of “You & Me” with the beat, while retaining its most quintessential components. The fact that Baauer is branching out from his typical trap sound which brought him to fame speaks wonders about his future and his willingness to experiment with contemporary sounds. Take a listen to the preview below and make sure to pick up the official copy when it drops on May 21st. Enjoy!

Axwell – Center of the Universe (Remode Version) [Preview]

Ultra Records was kind enough to share a radio rip of Axwell’s new track “Center of the Universe” off Pete Tong’s show. Eyes were on the now solo act to see how he would debut his new music, and while there have been a lot of negative comments regarding the rip, it’s nice to see the producer/dj go back to his house roots. Swedish House Mafia released similar tracks and never had a creative breakthrough according to many, yet this track shows potential in Axwell and his upcoming years in the business. Overall, a job well done. The vocals go nicely with the piano beat, and there is no need for a loud lead synth overpowering the rest of the track because of the balance between sounds. There’s no release date yet, but check out the stream above! Enjoy!

Inpetto – Girls and Boys (Radio Edit)

artworks-000047419349-xug2mn-t500x500

Inpetto has made magic again, and this time the track is “Girls and Boys.” The brothers have been in the game for quite a while and receive praise from all artists and fans for staying true to their style, and not divulging into the commercial hype. Multiple artists, such as Axwell, Sander Van Doorn, and Above & Beyond have been quoted applauding Inpetto for their production skills, and their ability to create power and energy with beautiful and moving melodies. The same can be said about their new release off Doorn Records. The track encompasses the progressive sound the brothers have perfected, with big room synths and a killer beat. Check out the stream below, and scope the release June 17th. Cheers!
